Ky Son district has received over 29 billion VND in relief donations from organizations and individuals due to flash floods.
(Baonghean.vn) - By the end of October 9th, 146 organizations and individuals had provided relief in the form of money and goods totaling over 29 billion VND to Ky Son district following the historic flash floods that occurred in the early morning of October 2nd.

In recent days, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province have continued to focus their attention on the areas affected by flash floods and landslides.Ky SonThe aim is to provide material and spiritual support to the people, helping them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
According to statistics from Ky Son district, as of October 9th, 146 organizations and individuals from within and outside the province had provided support to the locality affected by the historic flash floods that occurred in the early morning of October 2nd. The total amount of cash and tens of tons of various goods, converted into monetary value, is over 29 billion VND.

Specifically, the bank account of the District Fatherland Front Committee received nearly 20.4 billion VND from the support of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and other organizations and individuals. In addition, at the goods receiving desk...reliefThe district also received nearly 1.6 billion VND in cash and tens of tons of goods received at the warehouse: instant noodles, milk, rice, water, blankets... converted into money, amounted to more than 2.9 billion VND; cash handed out by the delegations themselves to the people totaled more than 2.7 billion VND, and goods transported by the delegations themselves to the people were worth nearly 1.4 billion VND.

Ms. Vi Thi Quyen, Vice Chairman of the Ky Son District People's Committee, said: Due to the large quantity of goods, the district will plan to use them rationally. Accordingly, a portion of the goods in the warehouse will be transported by the district's forces and vehicles to the villages, ensuring that all people affected by the recent flash floods have received timely relief supplies. Another portion will be stored in the warehouse to provide timely relief in case of unexpected natural disasters; if no natural disaster occurs, the district will continue to distribute the supplies to the affected areas.
Regarding the financial assistance, the district will assess the extent of damage to each family to determine an appropriate level of support.
