Many additional benefits for candidates
(Baonghean.vn) -According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, this year's university and college entrance exams have been supplemented by the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure fairness, accuracy, and benefits for candidates.
Regarding marking, at least 5% of the total number of exams will be inspected for each essay subject. This is a solution to help the Admissions Council direct the marking work in a timely manner, ensuring correct marking of answers, correct grading scale and accuracy of exam results.

Regarding the exam questions, this year, we will continue to set open questions, closely linked to the reality of economic and social life, in order to promote the thinking ability and creativity of candidates. Basically, the exam questions will still be set according to the principle of meeting the requirements of testing basic knowledge, application ability and practical skills of candidates within the scope of the current high school program, mainly the 12th grade program, in accordance with the regulations on adjusting the content of secondary school studies, without any limits on review knowledge. The exam questions must meet the requirements of classifying the academic level of candidates and be suitable for the prescribed time for each subject. The exam questions must not be outside the program or exceed the high school program, on the reduced or cut sections. The exam questions must not be set on sections or ideas that are still being debated scientifically or have many solutions. The questions must not be too difficult or too complicated.
To attract good students to pedagogical schools, the Ministry of Education and Training affirmed that it will have special preferential policies; because only good teachers can improve the quality of education. In addition to encouraging scholarships, students can also take out preferential loans to study. The Ministry will also re-plan the need for teachers at each level and the network of pedagogical schools.
From now until 2015, the university and college entrance exams will still follow the “three common” method combined with the encouragement of qualified schools to conduct separate admissions. Currently, the Ministry is working with schools to research and innovate the examination method to be applied after 2015, at the same time as the innovation of the general education program. However, it needs to be carefully researched and carefully prepared for long-term application.
