Vietnam Television General Director Tran Binh Minh said that before preparing to produce the Tao Quan program, many ministers had discussed with the "television station" to gently talk about their industry.

Reporting to the Government on the afternoon of January 25 about the organization of art programs on television during the Lunar New Year, Mr. Tran Binh Minh said that program ideas are usually developed in the middle of the year and filming begins in the third quarter.

Although there are many programs during Tet, Mr. Minh affirmed that Tao Quan - Meeting at the end of the year 2014 is still the most interested and awaited. "Every time we prepare for a program, many ministers participate in discussions with the station on how to make their industry easier," Mr. Minh said.

According to Mr. Minh, it may be because the ministers sent staff to watch the main performance and were worried. But in reality, the program was only about 90-100 minutes long, less than half of the 4-hour performance.

“The special feature of the program is that the actors go beyond the script, they exaggerate a little. Of course, if there is anything offensive, Minister Hoang Tuan Anh will definitely blow the whistle immediately,” said Mr. Minh.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh also affirmed that this year's Tao Quan had good coordination between the Ministry and the Radio Station.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the Minister of Culture to not only pay attention to the programs of the Central Radio but also to pay attention to the programs of the localities to ensure they are good and healthy. "This year's Tet is long, so we need to make the programs rich, diverse and timely to create joy and enthusiasm for the new year," said the Prime Minister.

Previously, Vietnam Television confirmed that this year it would not release the Tao Quan program in DVD format as every year to limit the act of printing to pirated discs, violating copyright. This unit assigned a company full rights to exploit the Tao Quan copyright on the Internet. Immediately after Tao Quan aired on VTV on New Year's Eve, this company will post the complete version of the program on its website. Viewers who access to watch must pay a fee of 3,000 VND.
