(Baonghean.vn) - After the recent prolonged floods, many bridges in Yen Thanh district were damaged, causing difficulties for traffic participants.

The route through Nam - Ly - Minh communes of Yen Thanh district has a high traffic volume, but it is very difficult to cross Huu Le spillway in hamlet 10, Ly Thanh commune.

The reason is that this spillway has just been damaged by flood and rain, causing serious landslides on the negative slope, making it impossible for cars to pass.

Mr. Hoang Van Chin - Chairman of Ly Thanh Commune People's Committee said: Huu Le spillway was built before 1990. During the recent flood, water from above rushed down and flowed rapidly over the spillway, causing the spillway surface to collapse and become damaged.

"We are waiting until the spillway no longer has water flowing through it, then we will temporarily dump dirt and rocks onto the spillway to facilitate traffic," said Mr. Chin.

During the recent floods, 5 spillways in Yen Thanh district were damaged, affecting people's traffic. According to the direction of the district People's Committee, communes and districts will immediately allocate additional budgets to patch the spillways to ensure safety for people and vehicles when participating in traffic.
