Nghe An strengthens traffic safety and order in the last months of 2025

The Provincial Party Committee members: Hoang Phu Hien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee; Pham Hong Quang - Director of the Department of Construction, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee chaired the conference.

The conference was connected online with 130 points of wards and communes in the province.

Traffic accidents decreased in all three criteria.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the Party Committee, authorities, departments, branches and organizations have led, directed and synchronously and comprehensively deployed many solutions in implementing the Traffic Safety Year 2025, contributing to ensuring security, order and social safety, successfully serving the socio-economic development goals of the province.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee issued documents directing and operating all aspects of work related to the task of ensuring traffic order and safety; guiding local authorities at the commune level to establish Commune Traffic Safety Committees to operate in conjunction with the two-level local government model.

In particular, after taking over the state management function of testing and issuing driving licenses, from March 1 to August 14, 2025, the Provincial Police organized 92 driving license examinations and driving license restorations for 33,534 students (one of the localities with the most testing sessions in the country). At the same time, the unit advised on arranging 19 driving license renewal points at 19 commune and ward police stations across the province.

The work of ensuring the safety of traffic infrastructure has been given attention, with directions to speed up the progress and improve the quality of traffic infrastructure development projects, especially key projects. The Provincial People's Committee has completed the procedures for transferring and receiving 5 new national highways with a total length of more than 571 km from the Central Government to local management, bringing the total number of national highways currently managed by the province to 13 with a total length of more than 1,474 km.

Strengthen patrols, control and strictly handle traffic safety violations.

At the conference, delegates focused on evaluating the results of the implementation of the task of ensuring traffic order and safety in the first 9 months of 2025; analyzing subjective and objective issues and causes, thereby proposing directions, tasks and specific solutions for effective implementation in the coming time, contributing to minimizing the risk of insecurity for people and vehicles participating in traffic in the last months of 2025.

Concluding the conference, comrade Hoang Phu Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations at all levels in leading and directing synchronously and comprehensively many solutions in implementing Traffic Safety Year 2025.

To effectively implement the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in the last months of 2025, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, communes and wards, according to their assigned functions, tasks and authorities, to strengthen the effective implementation of solutions to ensure traffic order and safety in the last months of the year.

In particular, focus on promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws on traffic order and safety to all people.

At the same time, units and localities should strengthen the comprehensive and drastic implementation of patrolling, controlling and strictly handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents; strengthen the work of testing and granting driving licenses for road motor vehicles to better serve the needs of the people.

At the same time, focus on directing the acceleration of project construction progress; strengthen the management and maintenance of traffic infrastructure on routes that have been decentralized for management; direct traffic management units to accelerate the progress of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, handle congestion, and ensure traffic on national highways and provincial roads damaged by floods.
