Many Nghe An specialties participate in connecting supply and demand of goods in Ho Chi Minh City
(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the program of the Conference on connecting supply and demand of goods between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities, on the afternoon of December 2, a conference was held with localities, manufacturers and product distributors.
The Conference was attended by 15 provinces and cities in person; the Ministry of Industry and Trade and 10 provinces and cities participated online at the bridge points.

At the conference, localities, manufacturing enterprises, distributors, etc. had many opinions and wished to have many activities to exploit the maximum potential and promote the strengths of each locality. Opinions say that through connection, the advantages of each locality have been maximized, in which Ho Chi Minh City has strengths in production and processing; localities have strengths in agricultural farming experience, potential in raw materials and local specialties. The program contributes to improving the efficiency of expanding the distribution network associated with purchasing and consuming products, creating jobs for the workforce as well as performing the task of stabilizing the market right in the localities.
In Nghe An, in general, in the recent period with nearly 10 years of implementing the program to connect supply and demand of goods, the scale has been increasingly expanded, goods are increasingly abundant, the number of localities and enterprises participating and the contracts and supply items signed by the parties are increasing.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade said that currently, Nghe An province's products, especially agricultural products, are very diverse, ensuring requirements on form, design, and quality to be eligible for circulation in the market.
There are currently 71 typical rural industrial products and over 200OCOP productsRecognized by the Provincial People's Committee, some products ensure production scale and supply output to enter domestic goods distribution chains.

That is: Oranges reach about 60,000 tons/year; industrial tea reaches 80,000 tons/year; pork reaches about 137,000 tons/year; poultry meat 82,000 tons/year. With a system of over 400 cold storage warehouses and the fishing capacity of the local fishing fleet, it is capable of supplying about 240,000 tons of aquatic and seafood products of all kinds every year.
In addition, Nghe An has many local specialties and medicinal products such as Thanh Chuong pickled cucumber, Nam Dan soy sauce, Pu Mat medicinal herbs, yellow flower tea, etc. that can reach the southern market.
