At the ATM of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Agribank, No. 364, Nguyen Van Cu Street (Vinh City), every day, hundreds of people come to withdraw money, most of them are students and civil servants. After each withdrawal, many customers have the habit of printing a copy of the transaction receipt to check their account balance. However, this ATM does not have a trash can, so after leaving the ATM, the receipt is thrown at the customer's feet or taken out of the machine room and thrown straight onto the sidewalk. When asked, they all calmly said that "a small receipt does not affect anything" and "after looking at it, it is convenient to throw it away, no one is fined, so why should we be afraid?".
As a result, at the end of each afternoon, when the sanitation workers are working, the Agribank ATM is also covered with blank bills left by customers, spoiling the urban beauty. The Vietcombank ATM at 68 Nguyen Sy Sach Street also suffered a similar fate when customers "conveniently" threw away their receipts due to the lack of trash cans. These seemingly small actions are affecting the urban landscape and polluting the environment. It is thought that banks should pay attention to the arrangement of trash cans at ATMs to join hands with the community to protect the environment, towards a civilized and modern Vinh City.
