Many solutions to attract foreign tourists
Ministries and localities are focusing on improving the tourism environment in 2014 with the goal of Vietnam Tourism: Safe - Friendly - Quality.

In order to carry out the campaign to promote Vietnam tourism as a safe, friendly and attractive destination, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed 14 urgent solutions on information and tourism promotion in some key markets that will be implemented from now until March 2015. In particular, the Ministry has informed about free travel packages for international tourists to explore Vietnam from June to September 2014; organized Presstrip delegations for the above companies to some key tourist localities to see that Vietnam is a safe, attractive and friendly destination, where people show their patriotism and culture.
At the same time, the Ministry will invite and welcome a number of Fam trip and Presstrip delegations for travel businesses and foreign press from key and potential markets (Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan...) to introduce safe and attractive destinations; promote and advertise tourism; strengthen cooperation and exchange. In order to attract more tourists, especially international tourists, the tourism industry in each locality is also strengthening tourism promotion and advertising; at the same time, paying attention to creating unique tourism products of their own locality... It is known that the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association has asked businesses to focus on upgrading customer services and tourism products to meet the increasing demands of international tourists. In the near future, Ho Chi Minh City will ask the top 100 hotels to participate in the tourism stimulus program, reducing tour prices to attract domestic tourists to travel, as well as encourage international visitors to come to Vietnam.
Da Nang City is also strengthening the promotion and advertising of Da Nang tourism in potential international markets such as Korea, Japan, and Russia by participating in fairs, welcoming Farmtrip and presstrip groups, and promoting new flight routes.
Da Nang also cooperates with airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Air Asia, Korean Air to open new routes such as Japan-Da Nang, Da Nang-Busan (expected frequency of 2 flights/week), reopening the Malaysia-Da Nang route (4 flights/week).
In addition, the city also coordinates with the General Department of Tourism to promote the image of Da Nang abroad through campaigns to promote Vietnamese tourism, regularly update tourism information for foreign visitors, and have support policies for visitors.
Bac Ninh province has also implemented many urgent solutions on information and tourism promotion in some key markets to attract tourists. The province has directed the mass media to promote tours and tourist attractions in the province; raise awareness of protecting the tourism environment, civilized and polite behavior to build a good image of the province with tourists; encourage people to participate in protecting and exploiting resources, building and exploiting tourism products of local communities.
The province will also strictly handle all forms of false advertising about tourism business activities, especially counterfeiting of advertising brands in electronic transactions; resolutely handle acts of harming tourists...
In the coming time, Lao Cai province will also implement many urgent solutions to attract tourists to Lao Cai in the last months such as reducing prices of tourism services; building a number of new and attractive tourism products to retain visitors at tourist destinations in Sa Pa, Bat Xat and Bac Ha districts; at the same time, improving the quality of existing services and products to stimulate the domestic market (especially the domestic tourist market traveling on weekends in Lao Cai), partially replacing the declining international tourism market; opening a number of new tourist routes to expand the province's tourism space, creating new experiences for visitors when coming to Lao Cai.
At the same time, Lao Cai also promotes tourism products, tourism events and Lao Cai tourism promotion programs on mass media, electronic information pages inside and outside the province, participates in a number of domestic and international tourism fairs to expand the tourist market, creating opportunities for businesses to find domestic and foreign partners...
