Many practical activities to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Youth Volunteers' Traditional Day

(Baonghean) -On the morning of July 13, the Quynh Luu District Association of Former Youth Volunteers held a ceremony to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Volunteers tradition (July 15, 1950 - July 15, 2013), summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 104/1999 of the Prime Minister.

In the past time, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Quynh Luu district has built 5 new houses, repaired 19 dilapidated and severely damaged houses with a total amount of 600 million VND. Implementing the campaign of the Central Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Vietnam on the movement of helping each other to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life, many members have boldly borrowed capital to do business and escape poverty. Up to now, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of the district has more than 1 billion VND, of which the commune fund manages over 600 million VND.

On this occasion, the District People's Committee awarded 4 groups and 8 individuals for their achievements in the association's work; the Comradeship Fund of the District Veterans Association also presented 6 gifts to 6 disadvantaged members, each gift worth 1,200,000 VND.

* Afternoon of July 12,Women's Union of Quynh Thach Commune (Quynh Luu)The delegation visited and presented a savings book of 3 million VND to the family of Mr. Dang Ngoc Quang, a 4/4 war invalid, in hamlet 11, Quynh Thach commune. This is a family in difficult circumstances, with 3 children, one of whom had an accident and is now bedridden. On this occasion, the Women's Union of Quynh Thach commune also called on members to contribute and support 15 million VND to Ms. Nguyen Thi Diu in hamlet 9 to build a house. Ms. Diu is the wife of war invalid Nguyen Xuan Dong (who passed away in 1989).

* Morning of July 13,Yen Thanh District People's Committee Trade UnionIn coordination with the People's Committee of Hung Thanh Commune, organized a groundbreaking ceremony to build a house of gratitude for Mr. Tran Dinh Hoai in Hamlet 2, Hung Thanh Commune, a 4/4 war invalid with especially difficult circumstances (his wife and son died early, his daughter was affected by the effects of Agent Orange). The District People's Committee's Trade Union mobilized all union members to contribute at least 180,000 VND each to build a house of gratitude. After the campaign, over 40 million VND was collected. Right at the groundbreaking ceremony, more than 200 workers in Hamlet 2, Hung Thanh also came to support the demolition of houses, digging foundations, and transporting construction materials to build the house of gratitude.

* On July 13, Bao Sinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, under the sponsorship of Bao Tin Minh Chau Group, organized medical examinations and presented gifts to policy families and families with especially difficult circumstances in Ky Tan commune (Tan Ky).
