Many youth gratitude activities towards families of war invalids and martyrs
(Baonghean.vn) - In the past days, in the month of July, young people in localities in the province have had many practical activities towards families of war invalids and martyrs.
As part of a series of activities to honor theHeroic martyrHe heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. On this occasion, Thanh Mai Commune Youth Union (Thanh Chuong) coordinated with the Commune Women's Union to organize house cleaning and cook a gratitude meal at the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Ty in Mai Dinh hamlet.

Mrs. Ty is the wife of martyr Nguyen Van Boi. Since the martyr died, she has lived alone without children to depend on. On this occasion, many union members, young people and local women were present at Mrs. Ty's house to redecorate the martyr's altar, clean and sweep the house and garden.
Everyone joined hands to prepare a meal to pay tribute to the martyrs. In the emotional atmosphere, representatives of the Thanh Mai Commune Youth Union and Women's Union also gave Mrs. Ty a gift, wishing her good health and a long life.

On the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the youth of Xuan Hoa commune (Nam Dan) visited and gave gifts to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Trinh (75 years old) in Hai Phong hamlet - a relative who is worshiping the martyr. Mrs. Trinh lives alone and is often sick.
From early morning, local youth union members were present at her house, weeding, hoeing the soil to help her garden, and giving her gifts on War Invalids and Martyrs Day.

In Nam Linh commune (Nam Dan), local youth called for donations and organized labor to build a house for the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sen, also known as Mrs. Thoi - a family with revolutionary contributions in hamlet 4.
Mrs. Thoi is 88 years old this year, in poor health, living alone in a dilapidated old house, in difficult circumstances. After storm No. 2, her house collapsed.
On this occasion, Nam Linh Commune Delegation, with the help of neighbors and local people, rebuilt a horizontal house for Mrs. Thoi with a cost of about 40 million VND.

The Nam Son Commune delegation (Do Luong) organized another activity to support working days to clean up, clear bushes and give "gratitude gardens" to 2 families of war invalids and martyrs in the locality: Mr. Nguyen Tat Trung's family (Hamlet 3) and Mr. Bui Van Nhung's family (Hamlet 5).
Youth union members and young people focused on cleaning the gardens for families and planting dozens of valuable fruit trees such as oranges, grapefruits, jackfruits, etc. After completing the tree planting, local youth presented them to the households.

On the occasion of the 74th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2021), local youth actively propagated and educated cadres, union members, and young people about the heroic traditions of the nation, the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the resistance wars, the struggle for independence, protecting the Fatherland, and performing noble international duties.
With the ethics of "When drinking water, remember the source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", "Repaying gratitude" to show gratitude to heroic martyrs and families with meritorious services, the youth of Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Tan Ky districts... have organized many practical activities.

In addition to visiting, giving gifts, giving gardens of gratitude, wells of gratitude, organizing gratitude meals at the families of martyrs' relatives, families with meritorious services to the revolution, there are activities to build gratitude houses, repair and care for martyrs' graves,cemetery of martyrsmusic, memorial, organization of "gratitude song" exchange...
In addition to coordinating with organizations such as women, veterans, and youth, localities also coordinate with other agencies and units in the area such as schools, companies, factories, or pagodas to organize programs to express gratitude for the source of warmth.

In Yen Thanh district, Lien Thanh commune's Youth Union coordinated with Kim Lien pagoda to visit, encourage, clean the house, and cook a loving meal at the family of war invalid Pham Cong Quy.
The youth of Tien Ky commune (Tan Ky) helped the family of Ms. Vi Thi Quy in Chieng village to level the land, build a road leading to the house, plant flowers in the yard, and repair the electrical system in the family... Ms. Quy's husband is a martyr...
Mr. Nguyen Tat Hung - an official of Do Luong District Youth Union shared: In July of gratitude, Do Luong youth organized many meaningful activities such as taking care of families with meritorious services; visiting and supporting heroic Vietnamese mothers; visiting and giving gifts to families of war invalids, relatives of martyrs, and former Youth Volunteers with difficult circumstances; organizing "loving meals"; planting trees at families with meritorious services; taking care of martyrs' cemeteries...
