Many international visitors visit Kim Lien, Uncle Ho's hometown.
(Baonghean.vn) - During the 4-day holiday, nearly 180,000 visitors came to visit and offer incense at Kim Lien Relic Site.
On the afternoon of May 1, Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan - Director of Kim Lien Relic Site said: "The number of tourists during the same period last year was considered a record, but this year the number increased by one and a half times."

Kim Lien relic site has opened all three areas of Sen Village, Hoang Tru and Hoang Thi Loan Tomb to serve visitors outside of office hours. That is, starting at 7am in the morning, without a lunch break, and opening an extra hour in the afternoon to serve visitors.
During the 4 days from April 28 to early afternoon of May 1, Kim Lien relic site welcomed 3,291 groups with nearly 180,000 visitors. Of which, 15 were foreign groups, belonging to 5 nationalities: Laos, France, Taiwan, Korea, and the Philippines.

According to Mr. Tuan, in the past 4 days, the Kim Lien relic site has welcomed an average of 800 - 1,000 groups per day. In particular, on April 29 and 30, tens of thousands of tourists flocked here, causing traffic congestion on the road from National Highway 46 to the relic site. Authorities had to work hard to regulate traffic.

Faced with a record number of tourists coming to Kim Lien, Kim Lien Relic Site had to coordinate with Nam Dan District Police, District Military Command, Police of Kim Lien, Nam Giang and Nam Linh communes, PK20 Department (Provincial Police Mobile Police), Department 6, Nghe An Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police with over 150 people to ensure security and order during the holiday.
