(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training announced the minimum score threshold for university and college admission for candidates taking the national high school exam, schoolsDUniversities and colleges in Nghe An also announced entrance scores.

The minimum score for the admission combinations to full-time universities and colleges is 15 points, but at Vinh University, some majors have a starting score that is 1 point higher than the "floor" score. These are Chemistry Education, Mathematics Education, Information Technology Education, Biology Education, Primary Education, and Literature Education. In addition, some majors have aptitude tests, and the scores for the aptitude test are also higher than the average scores of the subjects. For example, in Physical Education, the aptitude test floor is 7 points (multiplied by a factor of 2). In preschool education, the aptitude test floor is 6 points (multiplied by a factor of 2), and the remaining subjects cannot be lower than 2 points.

According to the plan, Vinh University will receive applications for the first choice from August 1, 2015 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20, 2015 (except holidays and Sundays).

It is expected that Vinh University will reserve 80% of the quota for candidates registering for their first choice. Based on the candidates' registration and the admission scores for the subject groups of the major, the University's Admissions Council will consider the order of admission according to the total score (including regional scores and priority scores, if any) from high to low until the quota is full. The difference in admission scores between the next two groups of candidates is 1.0 (one point), between the next two regions is 0.5 (half a point) on a 10-point scale.Candidates can submit their application directly to the school or by post via express delivery. For candidates who have taken the Aptitude exam for the two majors of Preschool Education and Physical Education at Vinh University, submit the certificate of exam results of cultural subjects of the national high school exam according to the subject group to the school for admission consideration.

The University of Medicine is also expected to reserve 100% of its quota for candidates in NV1 and the admission score will be according to the minimum score threshold set by the Ministry of Education and Training. In case the candidate's score is too low, the school will give priority to candidates in NV2. At Nghe An University of Economics, this school year the school has 1,400 quotas for the university system and 500 quotas for the college system. The school conducts admission according to 2 methods. Method 1, considers candidates taking the national high school exam in the exam clusters chaired by the university with the exam scores of 15.0 or higher for the university system and 12.0 or higher for the college system.

Method 2, admission based on high school academic results with a total score of 3 subjects according to the admission block >= 18.0 for university; 16.5 for college (each subject is calculated as the average score of 3 semesters: semester 1, semester 2 grade 11 and semester 1 grade 12). Nghe An Pedagogical College, the entrance exam score is equal to the threshold score set by the Ministry of Education and Training for the college system, which is 12 points. The majors of mathematics education, biology education, English education, and literature education only accept candidates from Nghe An province. The school will consider admission in 5 rounds from August 1 to November 15, 2015. Majors that have enough funding will not consider admission in the next round.
