Many VIP kindergartens in Nghe An label themselves 'international'
(Baonghean.vn) - Although they do not meet international standards, and are not even included in the registration documents, when they were established, many kindergartens in Nghe An province added the words "international" or "bilingual" to create a brand, appealing to the foreign-oriented mentality of parents.
According to the investigation of Nghe An Newspaper reporters, in the province there are at least 5 kindergartens with signs of international schools or bilingual schools. Meanwhile, these schools do not meet international standards, and even in the registration documents there are no such phrases.
One example is Sun Kids International Kindergarten (Cua Lo town). This school was established last year, and in the school's registration file, the school's name was only Sun Kids Kindergarten. But for some reason, the Education Department of Cua Lo town later advised the town's People's Committee to decide to establish the school, adding the word "international" to the name.
Thus, the same school has different names in the school registration file and the school establishment decision.
Similar to this case are Happy Kids Bilingual Kindergarten, Anh Duong International Kindergarten, Viet-Sing International Kindergarten (Vinh city). In the registration documents of these schools, there is no phrase "bilingual" or "international".
In addition, at Green School Kindergarten (Vinh City), the registration documents and the decision to establish the school did not include the phrase "bilingual". However, when it started operating in April 2018, the school added the phrase "bilingual" to its name to enhance its brand. Recently, the school owner had to remove this phrase right before the new school year.![]() |

Discussing this issue, Mr. Tran The Son - Head of the Preschool Education Department (Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province), said that many schools have exploited the foreign-oriented mentality of parents, adding international labels to enhance their brand. "This can also be considered an act of deceiving customers," Mr. Son said.
To rectify this situation, the leader of the Department of Education and Training said that the unit has requested the Departments of Education and Training to review and self-inspect compliance with legal regulations in advising the District People's Committee to issue decisions on allowing the establishment of schools.
At the same time, it is necessary to inspect kindergartens in the area under the management authority of the Department of Education and Training regarding the school name plate and the school name in educational documents. In case of errors, it is necessary to issue a document requesting the school to remove the old name and record a new name in accordance with the decision to allow the school to be established.
