Nam Xai is the most remote and difficult-to-access village in Quang Phong commune, with 75 households, all of whom are ethnic Thai people, 97% of whom are poor. Currently, Nam Xai has no electricity grid, no paved roads, is cut off by streams, and has no mobile phone signal. |

Every day, to reach Nam Xai school, many teachers have to travel nearly a hundred kilometers along steep mountain roads. Especially on rainy and windy days, when the Nam Xai river rises, teachers and students in Nam Xai are almost completely isolated. |
