Robbers who dragged a woman to death were arrested.
A week after snatching a woman's handbag, causing her to fall to her death, four young men ran to a deserted place, changed the license plate, and threw the motorbike into the sea to destroy the evidence.
On the afternoon of May 27, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Chief of Nha Trang City Police (Khanh Hoa) - said that Bui Quang Khoi, Le Trung Gia Huy, Le Minh Duy, and Nguyen Duc Anh were being detained for investigation of robbery.

Initially, the robbers confessed that at noon on May 20, they rode motorbikes around the alleys of Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) looking for property to snatch. When they reached Pham Van Dong Street, they saw a woman riding a motorbike with a bag, so the group approached her with the intention of "stealing her goods" but because of the large crowd, they could not take action.
Driving a little further, Huy discovered Ms. Nguyen (32 years old) driving in the opposite direction. Huy asked Duc Anh to take him and turned around to chase after her. When they reached Duong De area, Huy snatched her handbag, causing Ms. Nguyen to fall and be dragged for several meters.
Seeing many passersby shouting and chasing, the two robbers dropped the bag and sped away. Khoi and Duy ran after them to "block the area" so that their accomplice could escape. After fleeing for more than a kilometer, they reached a deserted place and removed the license plate and threw the motorbike into the sea.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but died two days later from a traumatic brain injury. During the investigation, the police arrested the suspects after a week on the run. "We robbed to get money to play fish shooting games," the robbers confessed.
The case continues to be investigated and clarified.
