The once-famous Vietnamese music group reunited after 25 years. How is life now?

After 25 years, the group Mat Ngoc attracted attention when they reunited for the first time. The meeting was on the occasion of Duy Uyen - a member of the group returning to visit her homeland after many years of settling in the US.

Mat Ngoc Group was founded in 1998, under the guidance of musicians Nguyen Ngoc Thien and Tran Thanh Tung. Initially, the group had 4 members including Thu Ngoc, Anh Thuy, Duy Uyen, Thanh Ngoc. Later, Ngoc Chau and Ngo Quynh Anh joined, bringing the total number of members to 6.

After a period of operation, 3 members Thu Ngoc, Ngoc Chau, Anh Thuy left the group. Thuy Nga was added, completing the lineup of 4 female singers. The period 2000 - 2003 is considered the golden age of the group.

After the group disbanded, each member chose a different path. Among them, Thanh Ngoc persisted in her singing career. However, her solo career did not leave much of an impression. The female singer often appeared in programs of HTV television station. In addition, she also participated in acting and working as an MC.

In 2023, Thanh Ngoc joined the programBeautiful lady riding the wind and breaking the wavesfirst season. The show also helped Thanh Ngoc regain her passion for the profession as well as win the audience's affection.

Ngo Quynh Anh has left showbiz for many years. She is quiet and completely unrelated to entertainment activities. She works at a media company.

Duy Uyen immigrated to the US in 2010. She married Tuong Huy. They have a daughter named Hailee. In a foreign country, besides singing, Duy Uyen also works as an MC at a TV station, in addition to her part-time job as an ultrasound technician at a hospital.

Currently, the beauty has a fulfilled life, thanks to which she maintains her youthful beauty and optimistic spirit.

The remaining member Thuy Nga is currently the only one in the group who is not married. She is also the most persistent member of the group Mat Ngoc. While other members left one by one, she stayed and held the role of group leader, maintaining the name Mat Ngoc in the Vietnamese music market. Thuy Nga once said that she was happy that Mat Ngoc was still loved and welcomed by a large audience.

The female singer was tired and wanted to stop when each member left the group. However, it was the love from the audience that gave her more motivation, overcoming many difficulties to maintain Mat Ngoc to become the oldest music group in Vietnam.
