Nguyen Quang Buddhist charity group gives gifts to the blind

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 29, at Dong Yen Pagoda (Quynh Luu), the Nguyen Quang Buddhist charity group (HCMC), in coordination with Dong Yen Pagoda, Quynh Thuan commune, organized a gift giving ceremony for members of the association of the blind in Quynh Luu district.

Here, the charity group gave 200 gifts including instant noodles, MSG, new clothes, and cash worth 450,000 VND each. The gifts are to encourage and help the visually impaired reduce difficulties in life and remove their inferiority complex to integrate into the community.

On this occasion, the family of Buddhist Tran Duc Thinh, an overseas Vietnamese in Australia, who was also part of the charity group, donated 5 million VND to orphans and disabled children at the Hien Luong Social Protection Center (Yen Thanh). Previously, on March 28, the Nguyen Quang Buddhist Charity Group also visited and presented 180 gifts to the Association of the Blind in Anh Son District, each gift worth 450,000 VND./.
