On March 30, Vung Tau City Police took statements from 8 suspects (all from Vung Tau City) to investigate the behavior of ""Intentionally damaging property", and simultaneously hunted down two fugitives.
According to the investigation, on the night of March 28, 10 teenagers on five motorbikes gathered to go out. At dawn the next morning, the group came up with the idea of smashing people's cars parked on the side of the road "for fun" and everyone agreed.
They picked up bricks from construction material stores, people gathered to build houses, and ran around Ba Cu, Binh Gia, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Hong Phong, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Truong Cong Dinh streets... throwing 35s from people parked on the side of the road, breaking windshields and lights. Among them, many billion-dollar cars were smashed, causing great damage.

Extracting camera footage and witness statements, on the night of March 29, the police summoned Pham Hoang Anh Thu (16 years old, in Rach Dua ward), Nguyen Van Kien (18 years old, in ward 10) to work. On the afternoon of March 30, 6 more suspects turned themselves in.
