Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam signed and issued Decision No. 404/QD-TTg approving the Project "Supporting and developing private independent child care groups in industrial parks and export processing zones until 2020".

The general objective of the Project is to support the improvement and development of private independent child care groups in industrial parks and export processing zones to contribute to supporting female workers with children under 36 months of age.
By 2020, 80% of staff, teachers, and nannies of private independent childcare groups in the Project implementation area will be supported in training, fostering knowledge, expertise, and childcare skills, and educated in professional ethics and conscience;
70% of children under 36 months old in the Project implementation area are sent to managed and quality-assured childcare groups.
95% of mothers in industrial parks and export processing zones receive communication to raise awareness about child care and development;
500 private independent nursery groups are supported to be completed, built and developed.
The project will support, improve and develop private independent child care groups in the community; survey the input and output of the current situation of private independent child care groups and children under 36 months old who need to attend classes in the project implementation area; review individuals and organizations with conditions to establish child care groups.
Along with that, support capacity building for managers, teachers, nannies of private independent childcare groups and mothers and caregivers of children under 36 months old in industrial parks and export processing zones.
Communicate, mobilize, and educate to raise awareness in the community; promote the role and responsibility of local authorities, organizations, and related sectors in managing child care groups.
The project will also develop and apply a mechanism to ensure and improve the quality of private independent child care groups in the community; strengthen the role of Women's Unions at all levels in child care, education and protection.
Research, review and propose policies to support women with children under 36 months old who are workers, especially in industrial parks, export processing zones, etc.
