(Baonghean.vn) –With exactly half a month left until the Mid-Autumn Festival, it is not difficult to see that the moon cake market in Vinh City is quite bustling. Many product display booths have sprung up, and many new products are displayed at different prices. Although the economy is facing difficulties, compared to previous years, the moon cake market this year is still bustling, and purchasing power is expected to increase...

Since mid-August (about a month before the Mid-Autumn Festival), many confectionery manufacturers have set up booths to introduce their products on all the streets in Vinh City. Some of the companies that have been active in the "image building" campaign during this Mid-Autumn Festival include Bibica, Huu Nghi, Kinh Do... Most of the booths are located at intersections, three-way and four-way intersections, and main roads with a lot of traffic. While Kinh Do and Huu Nghi offer products aimed at serving all customers, Bibica mainly serves the dieting customer group. Kinh Do offers the highest price of 2.5 million VND/cake, the lowest is 35 thousand VND/cake; Huu Nghi offers the highest price of 2,680,000 VND/cake, the lowest is 21 thousand VND/cake.

This year's moon cake products are diverse in design and type.

In addition to focusing on diversifying product designs, confectionery companies also pay attention to naming their products to make a strong impression on consumers, such as: Viet Vuong Tri Ngo, Trang Vang Thinh Vuong (Huu Nghi); Trang Vang Ruby, Trang Vang Kim Cuong (Kinh Do)... While confectionery companies promote their brands loudly on the streets with a dense system of stalls, Huong Phuc - a large confectionery manufacturer in Nghe An, mainly introduces its products through its fixed store system.

Moon cakes are made with great care in form and name.

The most active in setting up stalls and promoting the brand is Huu Nghi confectionery company. About a month before the Mid-Autumn Festival, this confectionery company has set up dozens of stalls at many "prime" locations in Vinh City. Right in front of the Central Park gate, Huu Nghi has set up many joint stalls, displaying many products with eye-catching designs. In front of Big C gate, bus station area... this company has also actively set up stalls to introduce products. With many price levels, Huu Nghi is aiming to serve many different customer groups...

Although the economy is in recession, this year's purchasing power is expected to be better than previous years. A saleswoman for Kinh Do confectionery at a stall in front of Central Park said that although it is not yet Mid-Autumn Festival, the stall still sells about 2-3 million VND worth of cakes each day. Most people passing by come in to look at the products and buy them to try. Compared to previous years, people's purchasing power at the beginning of the season this year is higher. This signals a bumper Mid-Autumn Festival for confectionery manufacturers.

In recent days, the media has continuously reported that some moon cake distributors in Vietnam have imported products from China for sale. This has caused many consumers to worry about the quality of the products. Staff at the stalls have confirmed that the products are mainly produced in Hanoi and then brought to Vinh City for consumption. However, while this information has not been concluded by the authorities, consumers should be smart consumers, paying attention to product labels and expiration dates printed on the packaging to avoid unfortunate consequences when purchasing the products.
