After the age of 40, women have to face a new difficult stage of life. Therefore, it requires women to have changes, new principles of life, to make their forties more interesting.

Keep in mind the 8 tips below to make your 40s more comfortable and enjoyable!

1. Be less angry

Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh once said: "Anger is like a storm rising from the depths of your consciousness. When you feel it, focus on your breathing. Take a deep breath to regain your sanity. Then look at or think of the person who made you angry. Think, maybe they are unhappy or suffering. You can also see that you do not want to be like them. And you will want to say or do something nice to help others feel less upset. This means that the energy of compassion has been born in your heart. And when compassion appears, anger has dissipated."

As for Westerners, it is to reduce anger. They believe: "For every minute of anger, you lose 60 seconds of happiness." When anger flares up in you, try to calm down, think about how serious the situation is, then act so as not to regret later. Every time you lower the burning feeling of anger, it means you have won yourself to some extent.

2. Learn not to care

If you want to be happy, you need to learn to stop caring about what others think of you and instead care about what you think of them. Be free to do what you like, and act naive in life. This is your life, you have to choose and decide for yourself.

3. Learn to forgive yourself

4. Accept what is

When you are 40, you have a stable family, but sometimes suddenly look around and wonder: “why is she/he who is the same age as me so luxurious, rich and happy?”. The truth is, people often tend to worry and wonder about what they don’t have, not what they have achieved.

Instead of agonizing over what you don't have, try listing the pros and cons of what you do have.

Be content with what you have and don’t look at the greener side of the grass and look at the other side. “Only when you live under the covers do you know if there are lice”, you cannot know if someone else is happy or unhappy unless you experience their life yourself.

5. Step out of your comfort zone

Push yourself out of your comfort zone. For example, some people want to try the thrill of scuba diving while others want to eat something special at their favorite restaurant.

Be brave and take the moment to do things you think you can’t or don’t dare to do! For now, go shopping and change your style completely, but don’t be too “old” for your age. Experimenting with fashion is always fun and keeps things fresh, but it will give you confidence whenever you dress according to who you are and your personality.

6. Write a letter to yourself

Turning 40 can be tough. Make it easier by sitting down and writing yourself a letter.

Make a list of everything you've accomplished so far, the things you're proud of, and the things you love. Then tell yourself why turning 40 will be the best thing you've ever done.

7. Never stop exploring

Get rid of the idea that being in your forties means you have to stay at home all day cooking. The world is full of unimaginable beauty, if only you have the chance to explore it.

Traveling can be expensive, but if you look around, you can find some great getaways close to home. Or simply get out of the house whenever you can. Just 5 minutes a day to breathe in the fresh air and let the sun on your face can be enough to warm your mood.

8. Help others feel comfortable

A small talk with a store clerk or a security guard can do more than you think. When you open up to others, you give yourself a chance to clear up a lot of things.

Practice speaking loving words to your loved ones. Make your love concrete. Eliminate all anger, resentment, conflicts... if they exist and hinder your love. Restore the love that you foolishly lost before.
