(Baonghean) - Surrounding the story of Trang's "special privilege" in job opportunities, there are also touching and humane details. That was when Trang submitted her application to the "Patient care service team on demand" of Nghe An General Hospital. Phan Thi Trang was one of the candidates who passed the exam. The announcement of her admission came to Trang before she sent a letter asking for help from the Minister of Health! (March 6, 2015).

Talking with Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Officer in charge of recruitment, Organization Department, Nghe An General Hospital, we learned that on August 12, 2014, Phan Thi Trang submitted her application to the Patient Care Service Team as required, with receipt number 284. In addition to documents such as graduation certificate, transcript, resume, household registration, etc., Phan Thi Trang's application also includes a certificate of being a child of a martyr and a job application stating her family circumstances.
In the first round of the competition, which took place on the afternoon of November 8, 2014, although the selection rules stipulated that candidates must be at least 1m56 tall, with only a height of 1m53, candidate Phan Thi Trang was still accepted, because priority was given to the child of a martyr. In the second round, which took place on the afternoon of December 9, 2014, candidate Phan Thi Trang was again considered for admission, although her score for the communication part was not really convincing.
On March 6, 2015, Nghe An General Hospital issued Notice No. 233 on the recruitment of staff to work at the On-demand Patient Care Service Team, with the following content: The Director of Nghe An General Hospital announced that Ms. Phan Thi Trang (October 27, 1988), with a bachelor's degree in nursing, had passed the recruitment exam for contract staff to the On-demand Patient Care Service Team. Mr. Nguyen Viet Binh - Head of the Organization Department of Nghe An Provincial General Hospital said: "In the case of Phan Thi Trang, the hospital has continuously had "special privileges" during her recruitment process. However, although she attended the training class to improve skills, expertise, and work procedures before officially becoming a medical staff, Phan Thi Trang only attended for 1 day and then quit and did not return to the hospital." The reason for refusing the job opportunity at the Provincial General Hospital, Trang confided to us, was “although I received specific privileges and incentives in the recruitment exam, but after learning about the job, I learned that the working time was up to 12 hours a day, and the salary was low, only 1.8 million, so I quit. Moreover, because of my family situation, I did not want to work far away”…

Saying goodbye to Trang and her family, we were secretly happy at the opportunity that opened up for her on her journey to find a job. We hope that Trang will make efforts in her work and life, to be worthy of the attention and favor that the Party, the government, the departments, branches, organizations and the social community have given her; to be worthy of the pride of being the child of a martyr who heroically sacrificed for the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
