(Baonghean.vn) - Letters sent to officers and soldiers in Truong Sa are extremely meaningful spiritual gifts, expressing the affection between the mainland and the island border.

During a recent working trip, the "Youth for the Homeland's Sea and Islands" Club brought thousands of letters and postcards from all over the country to hand to officers and soldiers who are on duty day and night on Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province. These letters and postcards were mainly from students, sent to people they have never met in their lives.
Navy soldiers on Thuyen Chai Island read letters from students sent from the mainland. Talking about the dear letters from the mainland, Mr. Tran Vu Thanh, Head of the "Youth for the Homeland's Sea and Islands" Club, shared: "Along with other practical gifts, the letters from the students contribute to expressing the spirit and responsibility, sharing the difficulties and hardships of the soldiers who are day and night at the forefront, protecting the sacred sea and sky of the Fatherland."
“You probably won’t be surprised to read my letter even though you don’t know who I am. Because besides me, there are certainly many letters from other students sent to you. But I know that they are all like me, wishing you on the remote island good health, always lucky and have a lot of joy in work as well as in life. On that remote island, with only sun and wind, how is your life? What are the living conditions like there?...”, a letter from a 9th grade student named Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen from Vinh City (Nghe An), read.

“Today, we are able to study, live, and play peacefully… more than anyone else, I am extremely grateful, proud, and admire you guys - the silent heroes who are dedicating and sacrificing themselves, day and night holding their guns firmly to protect the territory and sovereignty of our beloved S-shaped Fatherland. I know that out there, you guys will probably miss home, your old parents, and your young children… But I also know that all of that will not be able to stop your strong steps to protect the Fatherland. I believe that! I believe in you guys! I promise to study well so that in the future I can become a useful person for society, for the Fatherland…”, another letter from an 8th grade student from Thai Nguyen wrote. In the photo, members of the Youth Club for the Homeland's Sea and Islands are the place to receive letters from students to send to Truong Sa, then receive response letters from Truong Sa to send to the mainland.
