Little-noticed details on cars have unexpectedly important uses
Every car has small details that the manufacturer designed for a specific purpose, however, many drivers often ignore or do not know the special uses of these parts.
Below are some details and equipment on thecarwhich many people may have overlooked during the long period of use.
Rear trunk release latch from inside
Many modern vehicles are equipped with a locking latch that allows the trunk to be opened from the inside when all doors are locked. This security lock is located on the inside of the trunk door, covered by a small, easily identifiable panel. This detail is often found on SUVs, crossovers, or hatchbacks.

When you need to escape from the inside, just use your finger to open the lid and press the latch, you can escape. Emergency situations that can be applied are: the car falls into the water and needs a safe exit through the rear door, parking in the middle of a narrow gap and needing to open the rear door to escape.
Rescue hook cover
If you look closely at the front of a new passenger car, you will notice a small cover detail that is round, square or polygonal in shape depending on the design of each car manufacturer. This is a plastic cover that hides the rescue cable hook hidden underneath.

When the vehicle has a problem such as engine failure or breakdown and needs to be towed, the driver just needs to flip open this cover to access the hook head, from there hook the tow cable. Thanks to this small but useful detail, the vehicle can be towed easily.
Anti-open rear door lock
This is an extremely useful lock and is often called simply: Child Lock. It is a small lever that usually appears on the rear door of the driver's side or both sides, which prevents the rear passenger from opening the door without the driver's permission.

This lock is designed so that when placed in the “on” position, the car door cannot be opened from the inside. This helps to prevent situations where children or passengers accidentally open the door, causing a safety hazard. In fact, there have been many accidents caused by people sitting in the back seat opening the door without looking, causing danger to the vehicle moving behind.
The anti-glare lever on the car's rearview mirror is mistaken for a clothes hanger.
In the car interior, the center rearview mirror helps the driver observe the blind spots behind that the two side mirrors cannot see. In addition, most manufacturers design this mirror with an anti-glare feature when the car behind turns on its high beams.

On high-end cars, anti-glare is usually automatic and activated by an electronic button. However, on many popular cars, the driver needs to adjust the anti-glare mode with a lever.
This lever helps reduce glare from rear lights, not a clothes hanger as many people often mistake.
Symbols to indicate the location of the fuel tank cap
When driving to a gas station to fill up, if there is a lot of traffic, parking in the wrong location to access the gas pump can also waste time and cause inconvenience to others.

To save time, it is advisable to park on the side with the fuel tank cap near the pump. A little tip that few people pay attention to is to look at the gauge in front of the steering wheel, right where the fuel level indicator is displayed, the manufacturer usually draws a fuel pump symbol with a triangular arrow. If the arrow points in which direction, the fuel tank cap is on that side.
Wiper speed adjustment knob
This is a small but important part on the car's dashboard, helping the driver easily control visibility in rainy weather conditions. Usually, this knob is located near the steering wheel, integrated on the right control stick of the steering wheel, within reach of the driver for convenient operation without losing focus while driving.

However, many people are used to only moving the lever in steps to change the speed of the wiper motor without paying attention to the knob that changes the wiper intensity when in the first step. Drivers turn this knob to reduce the speed when it is light rain or only dirty, which will help prolong the life of the wiper and save energy.
