Song Lam Nghe An's 2023 season statistics

1. Ranked 9th V.League 2023

The Nghe An team failed to achieve the target set at the beginning of the season when they only finished 9th in the final rankings. This result stemmed from the slow start of theLam River Nghe An. After the first 6 rounds, coach Huy Hoang's team only had 5 draws and 1 loss despite a favorable schedule. It was not until round 7 that Song Lam Nghe An had their first victory against Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

It was thought that this victory would help coach Huy Hoang and his team play better, but they only got 1 point in the next 3 matches. This contributed to coach Huy Hoang having to withdraw from the head coach position of Nghe An Club.

Fortunately, the new Coaching Board of Song Lam Nghe An has brought a breath of fresh air to help the Nghe An team play better and better. A series of 4 consecutive unbeaten matches (3 wins, 1 draw) has helped coach Phan Nhu Thuat and his team stay in the league with 4 rounds to go.
