5 Song Lam Nghe An players are on the list of U23 Vietnam to participate in the Southeast Asian tournament
(Baonghean.vn) - Before leaving for Thailand to train and participate in the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship, coach Hoang Anh Tuan shortened the list to 26 players, including 5 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club.
On the afternoon of August 13, the Vietnam U23 team had its last training session at the Vietnam Football Training Center before leaving for Thailand to train and participate in the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. This was also the most complete training session of players who had been called up since the first day until now.

That same evening, coach Hoang Anh Tuan had a meeting with his coaching staff and decided to reduce the list of U23 Vietnam to 26 players. In this list, there are 5 players from Nghe An chosen by coach Hoang Anh Tuan to join U23 Vietnam to Thailand to participate in the U23 Southeast Asian tournament, including: Goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet, midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien, midfielder Tran Nam Hai, defender Le Nguyen Hoang, striker Le Dinh Long Vu.

As planned, on the morning of August 14, the teamU23 Vietnamwill go to Thailand to prepare for a friendly match with U23 Bahrain in Bangkok, taking place on the afternoon of August 15. This is also a very important match for coach Hoang Anh Tuan's professional work, a match in which he plans to give the opportunity to enter the field for the faces who joined the team late to verify the form and integration of the players.

After the match with U23 Bahrain, the team will move to Rayong province (the venue for the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship). Here, coach Hoang Anh Tuan will have 4 more days to complete the final preparations and finalize the official list of 23 players for the opening match against U23 Laos in Group C.
The Vietnam U23 team participating in the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship is a collection of core players, mostly U20, combined with some U23 players. This will also be the Vietnam Olympic team participating in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou (China) next September.
