Works and projects bearing the mark of the youth of the Agencies of Nghe An province

IMPRESSIONS THROUGH WORKS AND ACTIVITIES

In early May, we had the opportunity to visit two children's playgrounds located in Lien Son and Lien Mau hamlets (Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district) with the Youth Union of Nghe An Customs Department.

This is a youth project of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the Youth Union of Nghe An Customs Department is the connecting and implementing unit with a total cost of nearly 300 million VND.

Overcoming the obstacles of work and geographical distance, the union members also personally selected and planted dozens of yellow trumpet trees on both sides of the path leading to the relic site. The above works were carried out with the consensus and initiative of the union members with the desire to contribute to creating youth works following Uncle Ho's instructions, which is also a meaningful action of the industry's youth towards the Party congresses at all levels.

Looking across the province, in recent times, more and more meaningful projects have appeared at grassroots Youth Unions. Notably, the Provincial Social Insurance Youth Union Branch must be mentioned. With 3 models including: Youth Counter, Volunteer Saturday to handle administrative procedures for people, Giving health insurance cards to students in difficult circumstances from the overtime funds of union members, the youth have created a beautiful impression in the community.

Accordingly, the Provincial Social Insurance Youth Union has organized many propaganda sessions at markets, provided policy advice, supported procedures for voluntary social insurance participation in residential areas; organized direct settlement of administrative procedures at the unit's one-stop department on all Saturdays of the year.

In addition, the Youth Union also mobilized and raised nearly 10 million VND from its members and youth to give 15 health insurance cards to 15 disadvantaged students in the province. With their practical actions, the youth of the provincial Social Insurance Agency have spread the implementation of social security policies in the community, which has been recognized and commended by the Party Committee and the agency's leaders.

For the Nghe An Newspaper Youth Union, to make achievements to welcome the Party Congress of the agency, the union members and youth have had many breakthrough innovations in various fields after the contest "Young Creativity of Nghe An Newspaper".

Since then, the reporter department has made great progress in their professional work, many union members have achieved high results in major competitions such as: National C prize in the Young Cadres English Olympic Competition, National C prize in Journalism, Golden Hammer and Sickle Award of Nghe An province; 6 young union members have achieved high prizes in the Provincial Journalism Award; many union members have achieved Industry Journalism Awards...

Thanks to those efforts, Nghe An Newspaper is considered one of the top 3 local Party newspapers in the country with high traffic, good content, quality, and wide spread.

TAKING CARE OF POLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL EDUCATION

With 1 First Prize, 5 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes achieved in the contest to learn about "Resolution of the 11th National Youth Union Congress, Resolution of the 17th Provincial Youth Union Congress, term 2017-2022" launched by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, the State Bank Youth Union is considered one of the units with a long history of achievements in competitions related to political and ideological education of the entire Youth Union.

In 2020, the Youth Union received more good news when a member won third prize in the contest "Learning about 90 years of the Propaganda sector" organized by the Central Propaganda Department.

Achieving those results, Secretary of the Youth Union Nguyen Thi Phuong said that an important part comes from the good implementation of the political activities of the Youth Union.

The most important of which is to consolidate the ideological foundation of union members and youth through specialized activities. In recent times, especially during the peak month of May, the activities of the union branches have closely followed the direction of the Party Committee, the upper-level Union, political and social issues associated with the professional and political tasks of the unit to move towards the Party Congress of the agency.

Through the activities, a democratic dialogue environment was created within the Youth Union, encouraging members to contribute ideas and discuss in order to raise awareness as well as do a good job of logistics in preparation for the congress.

In recognition of those efforts, in 2019, the Youth Union had 1 member receive a Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of the Bloc, 3 members received Certificates of Merit from the Party Committee of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch in the emulation movement to celebrate the 50th anniversary of implementing Uncle Ho's Testament.

The Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies also has many innovative models in thematic activities, consolidating the political and ideological foundation of the union members and youth such as: The Youth Union of the Department of Justice, the Youth Union of the Market Management Department, the Youth Union of the Provincial Tax Department organized for union members to watch reports and compete to learn visually about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh through the software Kahoot.it (online fun quiz software trained and prepared by the Youth Union Office of the Provincial Agencies);...

Comrade Nguyen Cong Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Nghe An Province's Agencies said: Up to now, there have been 45 meaningful models and tasks from 38 affiliated Youth Unions registered and implemented. From here, we have promoted the spirit of initiative, striving to compete in studying and performing well the political tasks to welcome the important political events of the country, the province and the Party Committee.
