(Baonghean) -In the school sector, through the efforts of “nurturing”, many high school Party cells have recruited students into the Party. They are typical faces in studying, excellent in moral training and are dynamic “leaders” of the school’s Youth Union and Association.

The first time she stepped into the gate of Quynh Luu 1 High School, student Le Thi Van Anh (Class 12A2) was really impressed with the exciting atmosphere welcoming the 10th grade youth union members organized by the school's Youth Union. She quickly integrated with her friends, with the new learning environment and took on the role of secretary of the Youth Union branch right after entering 10th grade. With confidence, responsibility in work and the will to strive to become a "locomotive", Van Anh and the executive committee of the Youth Union branch organized many movements to both study and play, attracting a large number of union members to participate. Regarding her studies, Van Anh is very diligent, studying all subjects well and achieving high scores in the school's and district's excellent student competitions. Taking on the additional role of a member of the school's Youth Union Executive Committee, Van Anh also demonstrated good spirit and responsibility for the collective. In 11th grade, she was sent to attend a Party sympathy class and in July 2012, Van Anh was honored to join the Party.

Golden Bell Contest for high school students in Quynh Luu

At the same time, Quynh Luu I High School had two students, Phan Van Manh and Ho Khanh Duy (students of class 12A1), admitted to the Party. Both of them are excellent students in their studies (excellent students in all subjects, excellent students in the province, achieved high scores in the university entrance exam), exemplary and responsible in the movements of the school and class. Phan Van Manh shared: “At first, when I first entered the school, I determined that my main task was to study, actively participate in the Youth Union and Association movements, but did not set a goal of joining the Party while still in high school. With the guidance of the Party cell, the school Youth Union creating conditions, and the support of teachers, I strived to strive. Being admitted to the Party at the age of 18 is a great honor, marking a turning point in my life. I promise to try to promote the role of a Party member in the new environment...”. Commenting on the young party members - students of the school, the Party cell secretary, the school principal - teacher Luong Ngoc Son said: "Most of them are excellent students for 12 consecutive years or have won high awards in provincial excellent student competitions, won Gold Medals, Silver Medals in Olympic subjects. Not only are they good students, they are also dynamic and creative "leaders" of the Youth Union or executive committee members, affirmed through the school's movements and activities, the trust of teachers and the recognition of friends...".

As for Tran Minh Nguyet (Phan Dang Luu High School, Yen Thanh), the example of her seniors joining the Party has motivated her to strive and cultivate herself. “When I was studying at the school, I was lucky to participate in the Party admission ceremony for a senior. I really admired her and told myself that I would strive to become a Party member when I turned 18...”. To make that wish come true, Nguyet worked tirelessly. She always made efforts in her studies (3 years as an excellent student of the school, First prize in the province for excellent students in Math, Encouragement prize in the province for excellent students in English and Ly Tu Trong award, passed the Foreign Trade University entrance exam with a score of 25.5); was an active and enthusiastic class monitor, always willing to help and tutor weaker students; was an excellent member of the Youth Union for 3 consecutive years.

Mr. Hoang Nam Yen - Secretary of the Party Cell of Phan Dang Luu High School said: “In the past 8 years, on average, the school's Party Cell has admitted 1-2 students to the Party each year. Not disappointing expectations, they are all outstanding students and have become new core members at the universities where they study. Typical examples include Luong Thi Yen, who was admitted to the Party in 2009, passed the entrance exam to the Military Technical Academy, and is currently studying abroad in Russia; Tran Thi Hong Lam, who is currently the leader of the Youth Union and Association of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications, or Pham Minh Tam, a dynamic Youth Union officer of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology... The 18-year-old Party members of the school have become shining examples for generations of students to follow and strive for...”.

Considering the training and admission of excellent students to the Party as one of the important political tasks, Party cells of schools always try to create all conditions for students to develop their abilities in studying and in movement activities. From 2000 to now, high schools in the province have admitted nearly 1,000 party members who are students. Typical schools are: Quynh Luu I High School, Phan Dang Luu High School, Cua Lo High School, Hoang Mai High School (Quynh Luu), Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City)...

Sharing his experience in creating a source for Party development in the school, Mr. Ho Ngoc Anh - Secretary of the Youth Union of Quynh Luu I School said: “When students enter grade 10, we review their academic records, look at their efforts and learning process in middle school, and from there select the core to guide and nurture them to continue to strive and demonstrate their abilities in the new environment. Specifically, we assign them tasks, challenge them with school and class activities; assign teachers to train them, guide them to strive to become Communist Party members... Being trained in a good environment, students continue to mature, thereby contributing to creating a generation of young, dynamic, and talented party members in their future lives.”
