Kim Lien Special National Monument
Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan) is located about 15 km from Vinh City along Provincial Road 46. In the minds of Vietnamese people, Kim Lien has become a "common hometown", close, familiar and warm. This place still retains the rows of man hao tea, ponds, and red silk threads covering the fence; the small house of Mr. Pho Bang with the image of the father reading a book by the lamp at night, the mother sitting weaving and spinning silk. Currently, in the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, there are still many valuable documents and relics: The bed made of xoan wood where Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, the mother of President Ho Chi Minh, rested; the wooden chest used to store rice and valuables of the family - a dowry from Uncle Ho's grandmother - Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kep, given to her daughter when she got married; the wooden bed where President Ho Chi Minh's family received guests when living in Sen village, ...

As one of the four most important relics in Vietnam about President Ho Chi Minh, on May 10, 2012, the Prime Minister decided to rank the historical relic of President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in Kim Lien (Nam Dan district, Nghe An province) as a special national relic. The relic site includes two main relic clusters, with dozens of component relics, namely: The relic cluster in the paternal hometown - Sen village, (House of Mr. Pho Bang Nguyen Sinh Sac, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Nham's house, Nguyen Sinh family temple, Mr. Vuong Thuc Quy's house, Co Dien forge, Coc well, Chung mountain, Lang Sen stadium, Lang Sen temple...); The relic cluster in the maternal hometown - Hoang Tru village (President Ho Chi Minh's family house in Chua village, Mr. Hoang Xuan Duong's house - Uncle Ho's maternal grandfather, Hoang Xuan family temple...); In addition to the two above relic clusters, the President Ho Chi Minh National Special Relic Site also has the Tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan and the Tomb of Mrs. Ha Thi Hy, located in Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district.
Every year, Kim Lien Relic Site welcomes 1.5 - 1.8 million people from all over the country to gather and express their gratitude and deep respect for the great President Ho Chi Minh.
Thai Lao Martyrs Monument
From the heroic Red City, going west along National Highway 46 to km 5, visitors will arrive at the Thai Lao Martyrs Monument in Hung Nguyen District Town. The monument, including many architectural works of historical and artistic value, honors the sons of the Soviet homeland of Nghe - Tinh who heroically sacrificed under the glorious flag of the Party. On September 12, 1930, the demonstration of 80,000 farmers in Hung Nguyen district and neighboring areas right at Thai Lao field was brutally suppressed by the French colonialists, causing 217 patriots to die.
To commemorate and set an example for the revolutionary movement of the martyrs who heroically sacrificed, in 1956, Nghe An province started to build the Thai Lao martyrs cemetery into the Thai Lao Martyrs Monument Relic Site. During his two visits to his hometown, Uncle Ho went to the Thai Lao Martyrs Monument to offer incense and flowers, respectfully bowed to commemorate the souls of the martyrs and instructed: "Turn this place into a grandiose memorial, remembering the names of the martyrs who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause, overthrowing the feudal colonialists and establishing the first Soviet of workers and peasants in Vietnam"; "The blood of the martyrs who sacrificed in the Nghe-Tinh Soviet movement has added color to the Party's flag. Cadres and people must build and protect this area into a revolutionary historical relic site".
In 1988, the Ministry of Culture and Information recognized the Thai Lao Martyrs Monument as a National Revolutionary Historical Relic. On October 19, 2009, the People's Committee of Nghe An province approved the Investment Project for the construction of the project: Preserving and Promoting the Value of Nghe - Tinh Soviets. The project is built on an area of over 222.8 hectares, with a total investment of 328 billion VND, divided into 2 phases, constructing main construction items, including: Tomb and temple area, Nghe - Tinh Soviet Square and Monument; related infrastructure and auxiliary items.
Memorial site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong
From the Thai Lao Martyrs Monument, continue along Highway 558 (also known as Highway 12/9) for about 5 km, then turn left to reach the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong - an outstanding leader of the Party, a staunch communist, an outstanding son of the Vietnamese people and the Soviet homeland of Nghe - Tinh, who devoted his whole life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. The Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong is located on a beautiful, high, airy land in Dong village, Hung Thong commune, surrounded by prosperous and peaceful villages, charming countryside scenery, rice fields, bamboo banks, and wells. In 1990, the Memorial Site was ranked as a National Historical - Cultural Relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In 2012, the Party and State built the General Secretary Le Hong Phong Memorial Complex with a total investment of 250 billion VND, including 13 construction items, of which the General Secretary Le Hong Phong Memorial Complex is one. The General Secretary Le Hong Phong Memorial Complex was expanded to a total area of 31,230 m2, with a total investment of 35 billion VND. The house where the General Secretary was born remains intact.
The memorial site has become a red address with special significance in educating revolutionary traditions and patriotism for today's and future generations; a cultural and spiritual tourist destination that attracts a large number of people in the province and tourists from all over the country to burn incense, visit and sightsee.
Truong Bon Historical Site
From Nam Dan Town, follow Highway 15A for about 10 km to reach Truong Bon National Historical Site (Hamlet 9, My Son Commune, Do Luong District). During the resistance war against the American imperialists, Highway 15A was the front line, 1,240 soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers sacrificed their lives to protect this vital route. On Highway 15A, Truong Bon is a legendary place - the beginning of a crossroads of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, where 13 youth volunteers heroically sacrificed their lives in the early morning of December 31, 1968. Truong Bon has not only become an indomitable symbol of Vietnamese youth, of the resistance war against the US to save the country, but also a monument to the consciousness, will to rise, the desire for peace, and the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people of all times.

In January 1996, Truong Bon was recognized as a National Historical Relic Site. On September 23, 2008, the President decided to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on the 13 Youth Volunteers who died here. On April 19, 2010, the People's Committee of Nghe An province decided to approve the Project "Preservation and restoration of Truong Bon Historical Relic Site" with a total investment of nearly 175 billion VND, a construction area of 217,327m2, including dozens of large and small items.
Truong Bon Historical Relic Area is a tribute to and honor for the martyrs, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", having great significance in educating the revolutionary tradition for the younger generation, with 21 main works, including: Tomb area - house covering the tombs of 13 heroic martyrs of the Youth Volunteer Force, memorial house of 1,240 heroic martyrs, restoration of 3 bomb craters near the tomb area, bell tower, traditional exhibition house, traditional exhibition house yard, landscape - environmental lake, festival yard, Memorial area for heroic martyrs, 4 resting huts, monuments with the names of the relics, reliefs with the names of heroic martyrs, 2 groups of statues, 6 legendary pillars, management and reception house, souvenir shop, public service area, southern service house, northern service house...
