Blind spots that can easily cause accidents that every driver should know
To protect your own safety and the safety of others, here are some blind spots you should know.
When driving on the road, we cannot always see things clearly, especially for those sitting in closed vehicles such as cars or trucks. The areas that the driver cannot see are also known as "blind spots" in cars.
Similar to the blind spot in the eye, the blind zone in a car is the area outside the car that is obscured and not in the driver's field of vision. This is a dangerous area because the driver cannot observe through control aids such as rearview mirrors and outside mirrors.

There have been many tragic accidents because drivers wanted to change lanes, turn at intersections, back into parking lots, etc. but unfortunately hit other people because they could not see any vehicles or obstacles in their "blind zone".
To protect your own safety and the safety of others, here are some blind spots that you cannot ignore:
1. Blind spot of rearview mirror

When there are two vehicles moving parallel on the right and left side of the car that are not in the reflection area of the rearview mirror, the driver will not be able to see through the mirror. This causes the driver to change lanes because he thinks the road is clear. Therefore, the risk of collision is very high, especially dangerous if the car is running at high speed.
2. Blind spots in front of cars
Although the obscured area is quite small when viewed from the driving position, it still creates blind spots depending on the steering angle, and this distance can be larger for heavily loaded vehicles.
To overcome this, the driver just needs to tilt his head to observe each time he changes direction. There are no warning mirrors on the roadside at the hairpin bend, so he should honk to send a warning signal each time he enters the bend.
3. Blind spots behind cars

In the blind spot behind, the driver will not be able to observe people or vehicles moving with the naked eye or rearview mirror. This blind spot has a fairly large range, extending several meters from the rear of the car to the rear.
This is also the cause of unfortunate accidents such as backing up and hitting children or hitting pillars, rocks, etc.
4. Blind spots on the two side pillars of the windshield frame

The A-pillars (pillars on both sides of the windshield) have the greatest impact on the formation of blind spots depending on the steering angle. Although not large, they can still be dangerous for the driver if not paying attention.
It is best for the driver to tilt his head when changing direction or turning the car to get the best viewing angle.
In case when moving on a mountain pass, there are no warning mirrors on the side of the road, you should honk and flash your lights to send a warning signal every time you turn.
In addition, you also need to avoid going into the blind spots of other vehicles on the road to minimize collisions that cause damage to yourself and others around you.
