If you don't have any specific plans for your upcoming vacation with your family or group of friends, Khe Ro, Bai Lu, Cat Tien, Phan Thiet, ... are destinations that tourists should not miss.

If you don’t have time to book a tour or plan ahead for the upcoming long holiday, check out the destinations below. You can travel independently for 2-3 days without worrying too much about train, car or plane tickets to enjoy the upcoming happy days.

Depart from Hanoi

Located in Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve, An Lac Commune, Son Dong District, Bac Giang Province, Khe Ro Eco-tourism Area has a pristine and charming beauty with rich and rare flora and fauna. This place is also located in an area with 12 ethnic villages including Tay, Dao, Cao Lan, San Chi, creating an attractive community tourism destination.

Activities in Khe Ro include bathing in streams, climbing waterfalls, fishing, adventure climbing, cycling, walking to visit ethnic villages, visiting rattan and bamboo cooperatives, making campfires... You can choose to stay in hotels, wooden houses, stilt houses or bring your own tents to camp.

Directions: From Bac Giang city, follow Highway 31 for about 80 km, turn left at Son Dong town intersection, go about 10 km more to arrive.

From Khe Ro, visitors can cross Ha My pass on Highway 279 for about 60 km to reach Ha Long Bay.

Ba Be Lake

This is a famous tourist attraction in Bac Kan province, 300 km from Hanoi and 50 km from Bac Kan city. Visitors to Ba Be Lake, in addition to enjoying the beauty of nature, also have the opportunity to experience the vast, vast landscape by dugout canoe. The boat ticket is 150,000 VND per person.

Directions: From Hanoi to Ba Be is about 230 km. By bus, you can catch a bus at My Dinh or Gia Lam bus station, ask for a bus to Cho Ra, from here take a motorbike taxi to Ba Be.

With its poetic and charming scenery, Ba Be Lake is likened to a mysterious green gem in the middle of the Northeastern mountains and forests.

Ban Lac

As a tourist area in the mountainous district of Mai Chau, Hoa Binh province, Lac village is about 140 km from Hanoi, a suitable place for groups of friends to go on a picnic to explore the lifestyle of the Thai people in the highlands. This place is also like a gift from the mountains and forests for those who love peace and quiet with the open space covered in green mountains and forests.

You can rent a bicycle to visit some places such as Pom Coong village, Van village, Nhot village, Chieu cave, Mo Luong cave... A small note is that you will only find grilled meat skewers as a snack when you are in Lac village. If you want to eat noodles or pho, you have to go out of town more than a kilometer away. You should order rice at the motel so they can prepare it in advance.

Route: Hanoi - Xuan Mai - Luong Son - Hoa Binh - Muong Khen - Mai Chau (follow National Highway 6).

Renting a traditional costume to go out is an extremely interesting experience for you. For only 10,000 - 15,000 VND for a dress rental, you can transform into an ethnic girl or boy.

Bai Lu, Nghe An

If you want to go to the beach this time, Bai Lu, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An is an ideal choice for families with young children with the fresh, cool air of nature. Nearby attractions include Lu mountain peak, Sat canal, Cuong temple... You can call in advance to book a hotel room at Bai Lu resort. Along the Dien Chau coast, about 2 km away, there are some coastal restaurants serving quality food at affordable prices.

Directions: Bai Lu is about 270 km from Hanoi. The simplest way is to buy a train ticket to Vinh station, then from here go along National Highway 1A about 20 km north to Bai Lu.
