(Baonghean) -"Everyone please disperse, otherwise this child will be killed," the dog thief said, holding a sword and opening the window, asking people to disperse so they can escape.

This morning, like any other normal day, some people in Nghi Lien commune, Nghi Loc, Nghe An woke up early to prepare breakfast. Suddenly, they heard the sound of dogs barking in a corner of the village. People suspected that there was a thief so they dispersed to the alleys. At that time, people discovered two thieves stealing dogs, so they shouted and chased them.

Thousands of people from all over the villages and hamlets spread out to the streets to surround and beat the thief. At this time, a bigger thief was surrounded and beaten by the people on the main road, while another thief, despite being badly beaten, still tried to run away into the village. While the people were surrounding and arresting the older thief, another thief sneaked into the house of Ms. Ninh Thi Thu in hamlet 5, Nghi Lien commune, Nghi Loc, kidnapped a hostage and barricaded himself.

Nearly 100 police were mobilized to protect the outside to prevent people from acting rashly and to approach the house.

All attention was focused on Ms. Thu's house, people holding sticks and bricks surrounded the house. The reckless thief was very scared when he saw this, he asked Ms. Thu to lock all the main doors, only open the windows. "At this window, the robber begged the people to spare his life and asked the people to disperse so he could escape or the child would be killed," a man who witnessed the robber kidnapping recounted in an angry voice.

As if provoked by the thief, the people became even more upset and surrounded Ms. Thu's small house. Fearing that something bad might happen, some people called the police.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Sy Phang, Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, tried to convince the people and persuade the thief to surrender his weapon to receive leniency.

Immediately, dozens of riot police, criminal police, and Nghi Lien commune police were mobilized. “Seeing the police present, the robber became even more scared and asked everyone to disperse or the child’s life would be in danger. After a quick consultation, we used a loudspeaker to ask people to stay calm, maintain order, and not act rashly, while at the same time trying to persuade the robber to surrender his weapon and release the hostage to receive leniency from the law,” said Lieutenant Colonel Tran Sy Phang, Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, who directly commanded the hostage rescue.

After being persuaded and persuaded by the police and promised to protect his life, not to let the people surround and beat him, and seeing the situation outside the house starting to calm down, the reckless robber began to calm down and agreed to hand over the sword. Immediately, two police teams entered the house, one team disarmed and restrained the thief, the other team brought the 5-year-old girl out. The thief also obediently put his hands in handcuffs. As soon as they saw the child brought out safely, the people outside applauded and continued to demand to "punish" the thief.

The proposed plan was for the mobile police force to create a siege, clearing the way outside so that the force inside could carry the thief to the car.

In panic, the thief revealed his real name as Nguyen Duc Binh (22 years old), residing in Nghi Trung commune (Nghi Loc, Nghe An). His accomplice was also surrounded and beaten by the people and rescued by the police outside, Dang The Hung (27 years old) in Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen district - Nghe An.

Although the hostage was rescued, it was very difficult to bring the thief to the police station because thousands of people surrounded the house, demanding to kill the dog thief. The police force had to set up a two-layer fence to protect Nguyen Duc Binh and at the same time requested the 113 police force and the mobile police to send more people.

The police took the kidnapper out of the house.

In response to public opinion that if a dog thief is caught, he will not be prosecuted, will not be imprisoned, and should be beaten to death, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Sy Phang used a loudspeaker to analyze the extent of the thief's crime and asked the people to disperse so that the authorities could work. After that, some people began to understand and created conditions for the police to work.

When the situation calmed down, nearly 100 policemen and commune police outside were ordered to protect the scene while the forces inside brought the thief to the car. At 9am, the thief was brought to the car and the crowd began to disperse.

As the person who directly confronted the reckless dog thief, the homeowner Ninh Thi Thu was still shocked and scared. “At that time, I was holding a stick to chase the dog thief away, suddenly I saw my granddaughter crying in the house, the thief was holding a knife in one hand, and the baby in the other. At that moment, I was stunned. Only when the police arrived outside did I calm down. When I saw the baby screaming and crying in fear, I wanted to jump in and grab the knife, but I was afraid that he would kill both of us, so I stopped,” Ms. Thu recounted.

At 9am, the police force put the dog thief in an ambulance and took him to the hospital. The hostage rescue and the rescue of the thief from the house ended.

After the thief dropped his weapon, the police opened the door and rushed into the house. Ms. Thu ran to hug the baby and cried.

Although the two thieves Nguyen Duc Binh and Dang The Hung were both arrested and taken away by the police, and the 5-year-old child was also safely rescued, public opinion is extremely indignant at the reckless actions of the dog thieves in recent times.
