(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Decision 3554/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on allocating 600,000 kg of rice for provisional provision to districts and towns in the province to support students at schools in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions in the first semester of the 2015-2016 school year according to Decision 36/2013/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister. In early September 2015, the State Reserve Department of Nghe Tinh region organized the transportation and delivery of rice directly to the People's Committees of the districts.
On this occasion, visiting schools in remote, mountainous areas in the province, it was a great pleasure to witness the joy of students and teachers when receiving rice support. And seeing that the grains of rice of love have helped children in the highlands go to school...
Below are images captured by Nghe An Newspaper reporters of the distribution of rice support in some local areas of Tuong Duong district.

According to the rice support policy for students in difficult mountainous areas, each student is provided with 15kg/month. The quantity of rice before being provided to the students is carefully checked for quality. |

After quality inspection, rice is loaded onto trucks to be transported to mountainous districts as soon as possible. |
According to the plan, the Provincial People's Committee will temporarily provide 600 tons for mountainous students so that they can soon stabilize and focus on studying. |
The policy of supporting rice for boarding students in mountainous areas has created conditions for them to pursue their dream of education. |
At the center of Tuong Duong district, after being transported, rice is transferred to pickup trucks and distributed to all communes, reaching children in remote, isolated, and border areas. |
However, the road to bring rice to the children is also full of hardships when having to overcome steep slopes, jagged rocks, one side is a mountain, the other side is a deep abyss. |
In response to that hardship, students of Tuong Duong 2 High School enthusiastically participated in the work of unloading rice from the truck. |
With this amount of rice, parents will feel secure letting their children go to school. |
When receiving rice, children will be distributed according to the list to avoid any omissions or mistakes. |
Because students of Tuong Duong 2 High School are boarding in local people's houses, rice is distributed directly to them. |

Although they are young, the students of Tam Hop Secondary School are very enthusiastic in participating in loading rice. |
Not inferior to the boys, the female students enthusiastically participated in the rice picking with loud laughter. |

While the rice is being transported to the warehouse, inside the kitchen, the catering staff is also preparing lunch for the children. |
In addition to a bowl of white rice, the children's food includes braised meat, boiled eggs and vegetable soup to ensure adequate nutrition. |
Because there is no separate dining room, food is kept in lunch boxes to ensure hygiene and safety. |
When given the command, the children take turns receiving their portion of rice according to their positions and names written on the lunch box to avoid confusion. |
The children bring the rice back to their boarding house for lunch. |
The children sat neatly on their beds and enjoyed lunch together with happy laughter. |
Next door, the girls' room was equally lively as they ate and discussed what they had learned this morning. |
According to the students, since the school hired catering staff to cook, their meals have been more regular and the food is more varied. |
Thanks to the application of semi-boarding meals for more than a year now, the rate of children going to school is increasing. And for them, eating delicious and clean rice is a reason why they like to go to school and not want to go to the fields with their parents. |
After lunch, the girls went to the stream to wash their lunch boxes. |
The male students do the laundry and take a bath. |
The policy of supporting rice for boarding students in mountainous areas is proving effective, helping them to go to school. At Tam Hop Secondary School, currently only 8/173 students do not attend school regularly, a significant decrease compared to last year. |
