* Dimitar Berbatov has said goodbye to the land of fog when he decided to join AS Monaco on loan until the end of the season.

The French team hopes Berbatov will be the perfect replacement for main striker Radamel Falcao, who will be out for a long time due to a serious knee ligament injury last month.

"To be honest, I'm really happy and a bit nervous about moving to Ligue 1. It's a completely new environment, and I'm really looking forward to training and playing with my teammates at Monaco," said Berbatov.

* Striker Dani Osvaldo has officially left Southampton to join Juventus on loan until the end of the season. Along with that is an agreement to buy this 28-year-old striker for 19 million euros.

* Arsenal made a surprise on transfer deadline day by signing Kim Kallstrom on loan from Spartak Moscow. This was quite a surprising deal because the person Arsenal really needed to buy was Julian Draxler, not Kallstrom.

* Zaha and Fabio have been sent to Cardiff on loan until the end of the season. The Red Devils' board see this as a good opportunity to test the two players.

* Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the successful signing of midfielder Milos Jojic from Partizan Belgrade for a fee of around 2.5 million euros. Jojic will sign a 4.5-year contract with the Signal Iduna Park team.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: "We are very happy to sign Milos Jojic - a midfielder who can play in many positions and has a lot of potential to develop."

* Valencia have completed the signing of Vinicius Araujo after agreeing to pay 3.5 million euros to Brazilian club Cruzeiro.
