Symptoms like itching from insect bites, constipation, cradle cap or bruises on the body are very common in babies. Take 2 minutes to remember the following tips!

Sunburn

Sunburn is a painful, red, and scalded area of skin. If your baby gets sunburned, after bathing and drying your baby, you can apply aloe vera cream or calendula gel to the burned areas to soothe the pain.

Bruises

Use arnica ointment for bruises. Mix one drop of tea tree oil with one drop of olive oil and apply to insect bites.

Stomach-ache

Colic symptoms can be uncomfortable and cause your baby to cry for hours each day. If your baby is breastfeeding, you should avoid common allergens such as eggs, nuts, oranges, alcohol, coffee, onions, garlic, strawberries, cauliflower and foods you have a history of allergies to. You should massage your baby's tummy to help him or her feel better.

Cold

If your baby has a stuffy nose, cut a few slices of onion into a plate and place it near his bed. If your baby has a runny nose, add a few slices of lemon to the bath water and place them on a plate near his bed.

Eyesore

Use a warm tea bag (chamomile or green tea) around your baby's eyes. Use a separate tea bag for each eye.

Constipation

Find out what causes constipation in babies to know how to prevent it (early weaning foods are a common cause). In addition, check to see if the formula has enough water; feed your baby plenty of fiber-rich foods such as pears, apricots, diluted prune juice... You should also gently massage your baby's belly with olive oil.

buffalo dung

Use olive oil, gently massage all over the baby’s scalp and leave it overnight (put a towel under the baby’s head). Then, wash it with baby shampoo the next morning and let the cradle cap fall off naturally.

Diaper rash

Change diapers every two hours or more often if needed. Cloth diapers should be washed and dried. Use calendula gel or ointment or zinc oxide cream to soothe diaper rash. Avoid citrus and sugary foods in your diet (if breastfeeding).

Insomnia

Insomnia is not common until the child enters elementary school. Give your child warm milk (rich in tryptophan, which has a calming effect like chamomile tea). Alternatively, add a few drops of lavender essential oil to your child’s bath water before bedtime.

Itchy

Insect bites can be very itchy for your baby. To soothe the itch, try putting some oatmeal in a muslin cloth, rolling it into a ball, and applying the ball to the itchy area.
