Abandoned houses in the resettlement area of Ngoc Lam commune (Thanh Chuong)

(Baonghean.vn) -In Noong village, resettlement area of Ngoc Lam commune (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An), there are 17 houses that have been abandoned for more than 6 years.

The main reason is that the research and survey of the terrain is not suitable for the customs of the Thai people. The Thai people often live at the foot of the hill and along the streams, but this area is located on the top of the hill, the source of clean water is seriously lacking, drilling down 30 - 40m deep still has no water. Therefore, since moving to the "new homeland" (in 2006), 17 households assigned to live in this area did not receive houses but built tents in the production land area to live. Up to now, after more than 6 years of "experiencing the rain and sun", almost all of these 17 houses have been damaged, tiles, wooden furniture and doors have been removed, and trees have grown wildly around.

Thus, due to the lack of respect for the customs and practices of resettled people, the Management Board of Hydropower Plant 2 and the consulting and construction units have caused considerable waste.

Here are some pictures of these abandoned houses:

After more than 6 years of abandonment, the houses in Noong village have only bare walls left.

Trees grow wildly around these houses.

The self-flowing clean water project has also been abandoned for 6 years.

Without clean water, Ngoc Lam Kindergarten had to close and move to Nhan Mai village.
