(Baonghean) - In the process of improving form and quality, meeting the increasingly diverse information needs of readers, in 2013 Nghe An Newspaper has continuously innovated, opened more columns and specialized pages, creating a richness in form and genre, gradually rising to become one of the top 5 local party newspapers in the country. The circulation reached nearly 15 thousand copies/issue, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper reached the number of visits per day from 18 to 20 thousand. That achievement has a great contribution from a large number of collaborators inside and outside the province.

2013 marked a year of remarkable development for Nghe An Newspaper. The newspaper completed the project "Improving the quality of publications by 2015 with a view to 2020" 2 years ahead of schedule. That was the decision to increase the number of daily newspapers from 6 to 8 pages, publish an additional Sunday issue; increase the circulation from 12,000 copies/issue to nearly 15,000 copies/issue; upgrade and change the interface of Nghe An electronic newspaper in a modern, airy and beautiful direction. Along with increasing the number of pages and numbers, Nghe An Newspaper continued to have a strong "transformation", changing both content and form, creating attraction and widespread influence for a large number of readers inside and outside the province. The number of columns, news and articles is increasingly diverse and rich, vividly reflecting life as well as creating a forum, analyzing and promptly orienting public opinion on major current events in the province, domestically and internationally. The online newspaper provides news with video clips and produces large thematic episodes, creating a deep impression on readers. To ensure the newspaper production chain operates effectively and the quality of the newspaper is improved, in addition to directing the team of reporters to stay close to the base and go to hot spots, the Editorial Board has innovated the direction and management work, strengthened the connection with the team of collaborators, creating vitality and attractiveness for the party newspaper.

Currently, Nghe An Newspaper has a large number of collaborators with more than 400 people, of which about 150 are active and regular collaborators in the province, expanding to various sectors and localities, and nearly 50 collaborators outside the province working in many different fields. In 2013, the Newspaper received more than 13,123 news, articles, and photos from collaborators, an increase of 221 news articles compared to 2012. Most of the news and articles from collaborators are new information, reflecting the breath of life, so they are used promptly in publications: Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend, Ethnic - Mountainous Supplement and Nghe An Electronic. Thanks to that, it has contributed to creating a rich and diverse source of information for Nghe An Newspaper.

Among them, there are many contributors whose works appear regularly in Nghe An newspaper, with a "brand" in the hearts of readers, such as Mr. Truong Cong Anh, journalist Duy Huong, Tran Hong Co of the Party Building section; or long-time contributors of the genres of photos, cultural, educational, and weekend literature and arts articles such as Ngo Duc Tien, Nguyen Trong Ha, Duong Huy, Viet Long, Tran Hoai, Huy Huyen, Le Van Tri, Cao Duy Thai, Lao Thanh Chuong, Lang Manh Hung, Tran Ngoc Lan, Sam Van Binh, Vi Van Choong... Besides, there is the very new participation of contributors, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Cuong - Former Director of the Institute of Strategy and Science of the Ministry of Public Security, a prestigious international commentator, with sharp articles; contributor Hai Trieu is young but has a rather mature overview, theory and perspective; There are also new, enthusiastic pen names such as Canh Nam, Le Giap, Trong Hai, Dai Nghia, Ho Phuong, Trieu Duong, Pham Ngan, Dinh Nguyet, Duy Ngoi...

The current affairs section is the field with the most contributors. The amount of news from contributors accounts for nearly 50% of the newspaper page. Contributors: Dinh Thuy (Dai Nghia Dan), Viet Hung (Dai Quynh Luu), Huy Nham (Dai Quy Hop), Van Thang (Dai Thai Hoa), Van Thanh (Dai Que Phong), Huu Thien (Dai Ky Son), Hong Son (Dai Hung Nguyen) ... are familiar contributors to readers of Nghe An Newspaper. Thanks to the rich amount of news from contributors, the editorial office has maintained a column of current affairs information about districts, towns and cities throughout the published issues. On the other hand, from the information reflecting the initial events of the contributors that have attracted the attention of society, the editorial office has developed it into a propaganda topic that serves the political tasks of the province well, which has been welcomed by readers.

In particular, for sudden events that occur on a large scale such as the organization of political and social events, flood and storm prevention, natural disasters... when the editorial office has not yet deployed its forces or the number of reporters is not enough to work in many places, the news collaborators have become "people of the editorial office". The collaborators not only work according to the editorial office's propaganda direction, but have also proactively proposed ways to collect and process news and articles more vividly. The collaborators have sent hot news bulletins and images full of life to the editorial office as soon as the event occurs. The good news is that currently, the collaborators have become proficient in sending news, articles and photos via email, thanks to which the speed of information transmission from the time the event occurs to when it appears in the publications of Nghe An Newspaper has been accelerated, many good and attractive news bulletins have been edited and published in advance on Nghe An electronic newspaper.

However, in addition to the positive aspects, the work of collaborators in the past year has had certain limitations. In the process of collecting and processing information, some collaborators still made mistakes. The connection between some collaborators and the editorial office is not really tight, there is not much exchange and guidance to have articles with the right direction and better quality. Along with that, in the face of innovation and improvement of the quality of the party newspaper, some collaborators have gradually failed to meet the requirements, so the number of articles published in Nghe An Newspaper is decreasing. That is raising many issues that need to be resolved so that the Nghe An Newspaper's collaborators are increasingly worthy of their important role in creating the richness and liveliness of the newspaper, being an "extended arm", a force "rooted" deeply in the community, understanding and directly grasping every breath of life.

With the active cooperation of a large number of collaborators, we believe that in 2014 and the following years, Nghe An Newspaper will continue to strongly innovate, improve the quality of publications, create attractiveness, and become an indispensable spiritual food for every cadre and citizen in the province, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee and people of the province.
