Deploying the work in the dry season of 2018 - 2019 on searching and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos, the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command was proactive and active; closely arranged forces, organized many teams and directions to do well in mass mobilization work, enlisted the help of local people in searching for information on martyrs, guiding the way and ensuring safety.
The unit's officers and staff overcame all difficulties in terms of weather conditions, cold rain, mountainous terrain, and organized to find the remains of the martyrs until there was no more information about the martyrs and their graves.
Up to now, after 2 months, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command's Collection Team has recovered 42 martyrs' remains in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane and Xay Som Bum, Laos.
