(Baonghean) - In today's era of industrialization and modernization, the workforce always strives to maximize their capacity, dynamism and creativity. Labor and production practices have seen the emergence of many advanced examples with practical initiatives and solutions, benefiting units and businesses and contributing to promoting the country's economic development.

I met worker Cao Van Hue on a weekend when he was inspecting pipes in the Hermannheimer area. He said: “Our work must be fast and timely, so regardless of day or night, we must ensure water for people’s daily life”. Normally, when everyone goes to bed, they diligently work on the city’s streets, “because at that time, the space is quiet, so we can listen to the smallest leaks in the water pipes”.

As a worker with nearly 10 years of experience in network management and detection (Technical Planning Department, Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd.), Mr. Hue has "memorized" the entire city's water pipeline system. Thanks to that, he has had initiatives that have contributed significantly to saving clean water for the factory. Previously, the entire city's water pipeline system often discharged water at mid-line locations, causing water loss. With practical experience, Mr. Hue has researched and proposed to the agency's leaders to discharge water periodically and at the end of the source. Thanks to that, unnecessary water waste is avoided, saving the factory hundreds of millions of VND each year.

Seeing the people of Trung Tien, Trung Thanh, Yen Binh hamlets (Hung Dong commune) living miserably due to lack of water for daily use, Mr. Hue has been searching for ways to connect water pipes for the people. In the afternoons, Mr. Hue personally visited families in this area to find out the cause of the water shortage. After a period of investigation, in 2013, he proposed to the company to connect the D150 pipe on Nguyen Truong To street from Hung Dong Primary School to the D90 pipe network on Nguyen Chi Thanh street. Thanks to that, up to now, all 3 Hung Dong hamlets have had enough clean water for daily use.

As the head of the water pipeline network management team, over the years, the team has always regulated and operated promptly, leading to no local water loss. He always seeks solutions to repair damaged water pipes without affecting the factory's operations. He shared: "I always learn from the experiences of those who have gone before, and draw my own experience from practical work to understand the entire network, water pipelines and valve systems... with the desire to contribute more and more initiatives and creativity to improve work efficiency as well as benefit the factory". With enthusiasm, dedication and responsibility for his work, for many consecutive years, Mr. Cao Van Hue has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; in 2012, he was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee.

Young worker Le Doan Le - Export Vegetable Processing Factory - Nghe An Food Joint Stock Company always believes that labor is constantly creative. Although he has only worked in the technical department of the factory for nearly 4 years, he is always struggling to develop a plan to improve labor productivity. When he realized that the factory's Gac juice separator machine showed disadvantages such as: low productivity, the quality of finished products did not meet requirements. He sought ways to improve the technique for this type of machine. After 3 months of research, searching for documents, combined with practical learning, he created the project "Gac puree juice separator and sterilization machine". "I aim for a machine with a simple structure, easy to operate, easy to disassemble and clean". After exploring and researching, he applied new technology with a sieve mesh with a diameter of 0.5 mm, round sieve type, combined with the use of a stainless steel scraper system and a brush scraper to ensure a high recovery rate.

Since September 2012, the project has been put into use at the factory. Instead of needing 7 workers to extract 1 ton of gac juice, with this new technology, only 3 people are needed to do it. After only one production season, it has benefited thecompany over 1.6 billion VND. “The innovative technique of the Gac puree separation and pasteurization machine by young worker Le Doan Le not only increases productivity but also contributes to improving product quality and reducing labor costs for the company. Le Doan Le's research project won the 4th prize for scientific and technological innovation in 2013 and is being effectively applied by the company in production” - said Mr. Ngo Sy Manh - Production workshop manager - Export vegetable and fruit processing factory - Nghe An Food Joint Stock Company.

Since November 2011, Song Lam Sugar Company has put into use a 1m wide conveyor belt design. Previously, each sugarcane conveyor belt could only press about 60 thousand tons of sugarcane (equivalent to one pressing season), but now, the 1m wide conveyor belt has been used to press 280 thousand tons of sugarcane (equivalent to 3 pressing seasons). Since putting the new sugarcane conveyor belt into production, the company has benefited nearly 300 million VND each year. The author of this research is a technical officer of the company - Mr. Le Van Minh.

His 1m wide conveyor belt design won the 3rd prize for scientific and technological innovation in 2013. Constantly learning and innovating in his work, Mr. Le Van Minh has contributed many highly applicable technical innovations. He is also the author of the project "Changing the design of the scraper belt chain for the press" which is being used effectively in sugarcane production; each year it benefits the company over 162 million VND. "Realizing that the bagasse scraper system was not reasonable, the materials were worn out a lot, the scraper ear structure was not suitable, so problems often occurred. I proposed replacing some structures and materials to increase the load-bearing cross-section. Therefore, each scraper belt system that was previously only used in the season of pressing 23,000 tons of sugarcane, is now used in the season of pressing 54,000 tons of sugarcane" - Mr. Minh said.

With initiatives and technical innovations, the workforce is constantly dedicating their intelligence to the development of units and enterprises; striving to affirm their worthy position as the leading force in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
