According to Facebook statistics, during the Lunar New Year, Vietnamese people's Facebook activities increased sharply, with users aged 24-34 being the most "active".

According to statistics recently released by Facebook, there are currently about 25 million users of this social network in Vietnam. Of these, 21 million access from mobile devices.
The number of people accessing Facebook every day is about 15 million, of which 12 million are using mobile devices.
Also during the Lunar New Year, Facebook activities via mobile devices increased significantly. In the exciting atmosphere of the New Year, users often went on spring outings, actively updated, clicked “Like” and shared their own Tet stories.
Regarding the age group with the most users, Facebook statistics also show that users aged 24-34 are the most active (accounting for 36%), followed by those aged 18-24, third by those aged 35-44, and fourth by those aged 45-54. The age group aged 13-17 is only in sixth place in the statistics.

Interestingly, the level of Facebook usage by both men and women during Tet is almost equal. 50% of users are female, 49% are male (the rest are other genders).
During Tet, keywords about traditional customs and Tet wishes are mentioned most frequently on Facebook.
According to Facebook statistics in 2014, there were 7 most used keywords including: Tet, Happy New Year, New Year's Eve, Banh Chung, Loc, Hen, Tat Nien.
In particular, the word "lucky" is often used when people wish each other luck, or when referring to lucky money during Tet; while "year-end party" is an occasion for people to gather to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year.
