The 'hidden' problems behind unlicensed wood chip factories.

Following a petition from the Association of Wood and Non-Timber Forest Products Processing in July 2023, several unlicensed wood chipping factories in the province have been identified. However, a deeper examination of the origins of these unlicensed factories reveals a less-than-comprehensive reality in the development of the forestry economy. Despite its great potential, it has not made a commensurate contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. Therefore, practical and strategic solutions are needed.
