(Baonghean.vn) - The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the reference exam questions for the 2021 High School Graduation Exam. This will also be the basis for schools to organize effective review sessions suitable for each student.

For students in our school, with the good and excellent levels, only a few students study well, the rest are at the intermediate level. Therefore, from the sample test structure, general teachers will try to follow the test and the program to review well for the students. First of all, we have to try to help students do well in the comprehension and recognition questions to try to get an average score. In addition, we will provide additional guidance for students who are good at doing well in the application and advanced application questions. Currently, we have reviewed the basic topics and in the coming time, we will continue to make tests so that students are familiar with the test and more proficient in the process of doing the test.

Specifically, in the reading comprehension section, there are 16 verses, including 2 recognition questions, including recognition of form - finding the poetic form of the poem, the second question is recognition of content - pointing out two images of the harsh nature of the Central region. In addition, there is a comprehension question and an application question to indicate the author's feelings for the Central region. Looking at this structure, I see that it meets the reduced program (the Ministry has increased the number of recognition questions) and this part is the easiest part for candidates to score.
Second, the writing section with a score of 7 points has not changed much. Question 1 is a social argument from the reading comprehension material. Question 2 of the essay argument with the highest score of 5 points still maintains the traditional structure, giving students a very clear short paragraph of material.
From this test, I think teachers and students are assured because the test is familiar and has not only been reviewed since the sample test but has been applied throughout the teaching and learning process, especially in grade 12. This test is not difficult to get a score of 5,6 because students have reviewed it thoroughly. Candidates who want to get a score of 7,8 just need to be diligent. However, to get a score of 9,10, they must have critical thinking and sharp reasoning.

To do well in this test, we have also taught students quite thoroughly the test-taking skills, which include “engraving” the commands and clearly showing students the key words of the commands. Therefore, with this test, students will be confident in reviewing.

In addition, the distribution of levels in the exam will also be suitable for students. However, compared to last year, this year the number of questions using the Geography Atlas has increased by 1 question (15 questions). In addition, there are questions using data tables and charts. The exam uses 95% of grade 12 knowledge, the remaining 5% is grade 11 skills. With this exam, if students are diligent and study the textbook carefully, the exam is not difficult.

This exam, compared to last year, has a higher level of differentiation, so to achieve a score of 9 or 10, students must make more effort and be more diligent. For the application and high-level application knowledge, students must research, refer to more and update new data. The remaining score range of 6-8 is something students can achieve.

Overall, this year's exam is more difficult than last year's, but we predicted this because this year, the Covid-19 epidemic did not affect students' studies too much. Therefore, the simplified sections will certainly be less. However, the amount of exam questions is quite large in the textbook program. In the Math exam, if you study the basics, you can still do 60-70%. As for the advanced part, I found some questions about shape recognition and some questions about grade 11 knowledge confusing. The Literature exam has a familiar structure and the works have not changed. In the History exam, candidates only need to memorize a lot to do well, there are not many questions that require thinking.
Speaking more about the Math exam, Dr. Le Xuan Son - Vice Principal of Vinh University High School for the Gifted is quite concerned because this year's exam has too many easy questions (level 1 and level 2, recognition and understanding). This leads to students being subjective and makes it difficult to differentiate students for university admission. Specifically, in the 50 Math questions, 28/50 questions are at the recognition level, easy questions and students can easily get points if they grasp and distinguish the concepts. 10 questions are at level 2, understanding, just needing knowledge in the textbook to be able to do it correctly and students can easily get 6 or 7 points. The exam has 6 low applications, for good students but not too difficult and students only need to study well to get 9 points. In the 5 application questions, only 2 questions are difficult in the geometry - spatial coordinates section, the remaining 1 question is in the function section of calculus.
