"Nhuan" and the emotional attachment of Thai people
"Nhuan" is a love song, a way of expressing love that is both discreet and shows off the sharpness, depth, intelligence, sensitivity and creativity in the responses of Thai boys and girls in the past.
"Nhuon" is considered a folk song, there is an old "nhuon" song that is very easy to remember and memorize, but when singing "nhuon", Thai boys and girls usually only follow the melody, and the lyrics of "nhuon" depend on the content of the duet, which both boys and girls create themselves to suit. Whoever is more creative will be the winner.

In Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district, there are many couples who became husband and wife starting from "nhuon" singing exchanges. They lived happily together until their hair turned white and their teeth fell out... Mr. Quan Vi Tin and Mrs. Vi Thi On in Ca village (Chau Quang commune) are a typical example: Both of them are "ho nhuon", fell in love with each other during a singing exchange on the day of roofing a new house in the village. Then they got married when they were just nineteen or twenty. This year, the two of them are almost 90 years old, with sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren filling the house... but they still have not forgotten the "nhuon" songs of their youth. Mr. Tin said that since getting married until now, they have never said harsh words to each other "unlike today's young people who get married and then abandon each other so easily"!?
It is interesting that "nhuon" has long had the power to bind the feelings and marriages of Thai people, like a special cultural bond that cannot be separated!
