(Baonghean) - At a distance of 35m, Manh Hung surprised everyone when he created a "super product" in the friendly match between U.23 Vietnam and Tay Ninh. Previously, in the match with Bangu Club in BTV Cup 2013, from the same distance, Hung scored for U.23 Vietnam. As a central defender but accurate in set pieces, Hung is a great hope, in the context that U.23 Vietnam lacks a classy free kick taker like Van Quyen, Cong Vinh or Minh Phuong before.

Manh Hung was born in Nghia Dan district and joined Song Lam after playing excellently in the Nghia Dan Youth team participating in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament. Right from the time he joined SLNA Club, Manh Hung left his mark with his very "strange" left foot. During professional tests, Hung was always the leader and was asked by the teachers to demonstrate movements for his teammates to follow. In addition, Hung also has a very good ability to take free kicks. Although he is a central defender, in youth tournaments, Hung is always the one assigned to take free kicks. A teammate of Hung said that when he was in U.15 or later in U.17, about 20m in front of the goal, the accuracy of Hung's free kicks reached 80%.

Proving his ability not only on the training ground, Hung applied it thoroughly in his first participation in the final round of the National U.17 Football Tournament. In the 2010 season, Hung successfully executed 3 free kicks and was later voted by the tournament organizers as "The best player of the tournament". Immediately after that, coach Huu Thang called this central defender to practice in the first team. However, unfortunately for Hung, during a training session, he suffered a serious injury, so his dream of being promoted to the first team was unfinished. The injury and other behind-the-scenes troubles caused Hung to be interrupted for 2 years, before returning to the SLNA first team in 2013.

Showing his outstanding expertise and bravery at V.League 2013, Hung caught the attention of coach Hoang Van Phuc and for the first time he was present in the U.23 Vietnam team and the national team. During the time training with the U.23 Vietnam team to prepare for the 27th SEA Games, Hung continued to make his mark and became an indispensable central defender in coach Hoang Van Phuc's tactical scheme. Among the marks he created, fans cannot forget Manh Hung in the role of a free kick taker, because his goals were truly "super products".

Not only scoring points during training, Hung also attracted attention in friendly matches. In addition to the goal scored against Bangu Club in the BTV Cup 2013, Hung recently continued to make people dazzled when he successfully executed a free kick from a distance of 35m in a friendly match with Tay Ninh. Coach Hoang Van Phuc said that Hung was not able to execute such free kicks by chance. It was a process of honing skills through constant practice. No one else, Hung is the great hope of U.23 Vietnam in the upcoming SEA Games.

Hung shared: The success I have achieved is partly due to my talent, partly due to my passion. Hung's secret is to regularly watch international matches on TV. When I see someone taking a beautiful free kick, I pay attention and practice hard. During practice sessions, Hung usually arrives about 15 minutes early and leaves late to practice more free kick exercises. Hung's idol is his senior Huy Hoang for his enthusiasm and efficiency in competition, but Hung's style is more compact and somewhat more refined.

This is the first time Hung has participated in a big playground like SEA Games, he is very excited. Hung's biggest dream right now is to contribute to help U.23 Vietnam win the Gold Medal at SEA Games 27.
