For the past 5 years, every year, teachers and students of Phan School have had emotional moments when welcoming students who have won high prizes in regional and international competitions for excellent students. In the last school year alone, the school won 1 Asian Physics Gold Medal and 2 International Physics and Mathematics Silver Medals, and 100% of the school's students passed the university entrance exam.

Over half a decade of construction and development, there were times when "classes were interrupted and sleep was interrupted because of bombings" but "challenges only further tempered the will and teacher-student relationship". In the early 90s, although it was a specialized school of the province, the school's facilities were still very poor, and teaching and learning conditions did not meet the needs. In 2000, the school fell into a serious shortage of teachers, the number of national and international excellent students gradually decreased... To rebuild the movement, the school actively advised the Department of Education and Training to attract good teachers from other schools; boldly recruited new graduates to work.

Mr. Tran Van Nga, Vice Principal of the school, recalled: When we were first admitted to the school, we, the new graduates, were very worried, because this was a school with many achievements and many veteran teachers. With responsibility, awareness, and pride in teaching at the school with the most achievements in the country, teacher Nga and the new class of teachers have studied and trained themselves. Especially, with the help and enthusiastic support of previous generations of teachers, young teachers at the school are given all conditions to develop their careers and are free to promote their strengths. 6 years after entering the school, in 2007, teacher Tran Van Nga achieved outstanding achievements: student Nguyen Tat Nghia won 2 International Physics Gold Medals and 1 Asian Physics Gold Medal. This is also the first Physics Gold Medal that the school has had to wait for nearly 40 years, since its establishment. After that, Mr. Nga continuously had 12 more students participate in international and Asian competitions for excellent students, including 6 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, 2 Bronze Medals and 3 Certificates of Merit.

The young generation of the school has many talented teachers such as: Ms. Nguyen Giang Chi, now the Vice Principal of the school; Mr. Vo Van Hai, now the Head of the Math Group, Mr. Dau Hoang Hung successfully defended his PhD thesis and successfully trained students to win Silver Medals in International Mathematics, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tho An has had students compete and win high prizes in international and regional Olympiads for 2 consecutive years.

Sharing about the school's successes, teacher Dau Van Mui, the school's principal, concluded: Those results are a testament to the strength of the spirit of solidarity, unity, and efforts of generations of teachers and students in the whole school. That is the strength of collective intelligence and the spirit of collaboration. In addition, the school has aroused students' self-study ability and passion for creativity in learning, encouraged students to do scientific research, write articles for magazines, organize clubs; done well in emulation, rewards, propaganda, and motivation of teachers and students, and promoted advanced models...
