(Baonghean.vn) - Killing people who were praying, shooting, suicide bombings... it can be said that the past 48 hours have been the worst time for the Nigerian people in general and for Mr. Muhammu Buhari - who just took office as President in May in particular.
On Friday, July 3, Nigerian President Muhammu Buhari condemned the attacks that the terrorist organization Boko Haram carried out in the past 48 hours on six villages in the northeast of the country, which left more than 200 people dead and dozens injured, as “barbaric” and “inhumane”.

It is known that the wave of violence began to emerge from the evening of July 1. Boko Haram organization has continuously attacked 6 villages in Borno state in northeastern Nigeria. Until the afternoon of July 3, terrorists continued to carry out attacks in Borno state. According to Bitrus Dangana - a survivor of the attack, about 50 armed men on motorbikes entered Mussa village, opened fire on people and burned almost all the houses in the village. More than 25 people were killed in the above attack.
While condemning Boko Haram’s actions, President Buhari also said that it was time to “form a more effective international coalition” in the fight against the notorious terrorist group. Last February, a joint military operation between Nigeria and neighboring countries was organized to help Nigeria regain control of the northern provinces from Boko Haram. In response to the military operations, Boko Haram has increased its retaliatory attacks. According to preliminary statistics, since 2009, the war between Boko Haram and the military has killed more than 15,000 people across the country.
