The park will be located in Cuc Phuong, Phu Long and Ky Phu communes of Nho Quan district.
The project aims to help Ninh Binh become a center for the conservation of rare wildlife species typical of the country, Southeast Asia and the world. The wildlife conservation park will actively contribute to the conservation of rare animal gene sources and the natural forest ecosystem of Vietnam.
Not only serving conservation purposes, the park can also become an attractive tourist destination. From the park, visitors can visit Cuc Phuong National Park, Bai Dinh-Trang An spiritual tourism area, Tam Coc, Bich Dong, Lich Dong. According to experts, these tourist destinations can attract up to two million visitors each year, creating jobs for about 1,000 to 1,500 people.
With a total land area of about 1,669 hectares, the park will have three main areas, including the central area, the management and operation area, and the service area. Wild animals will live in the central area. After construction is completed, the park will operate as a joint stock company model, in which the state holds a controlling stake.
Construction of the park will begin in 2012 with a total cost of approximately VND7,634 billion.
