Big explosion at old ammunition depot at Russian military base
On October 9, several large explosions occurred at an old ammunition depot at the Donguz military base in central Russia, causing a large fire and forcing many residents to evacuate.
The base is located about 30km south of the city of Orenburg. The fire broke out after explosions, creating huge columns of smoke, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Local television broadcast images of several buildings near the base being destroyed.
Russian Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman in the region, Vladislav Zubchenko, said authorities were considering evacuating all residents of four villages near the blast site.
Firefighters arrived at the scene in time and cordoned off the area. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that no soldiers were injured in the explosions./.
