The incident occurred at around 0:30 a.m. on March 20 at the Hoa Vinh Company Limited building, where there is a Family Karaoke bar and a smokeless hot pot restaurant Sura BBQ located at 5 Tran Phu Street, Vinh City.

At that time, a loud explosion caused a loud noise, shaking the whole neighborhood, making people around panic and wake up.
When people ran out to see, they discovered an explosion like a bomb coming from a 2-story house at number 5 (Tran Phu street, Vinh city, Nghe An).

At the scene, all the glass and windows of the entire row of houses at address 5 were blown out, devastated, smoke billowed high, and a pungent smell was emitted. Glass fragments flew hundreds of meters away and were scattered all over Tran Phu Street. All the property inside the row of houses was destroyed.
As soon as the explosion occurred, Fire Police Department No. 1 mobilized 6 fire trucks and nearly 100 soldiers to the scene. Traffic police were also present to direct traffic at both ends of National Highway 1A.

No casualties have been reported yet. According to reports from nearby residents, fortunately the security guards of this building have not slept at work in recent days. Ms. Ly's tea shop across the street had closed early due to the rain and there were no vehicles passing by when the explosion occurred, otherwise the human consequences would have been very serious.

Recognizing the extremely dangerous nature of the incident as the explosion site was located right in the city center, the Director of the Provincial Police and the Director of the Fire Police of Nghe An province were present to direct the scene.
At the time of the explosion, the gas storage room behind the restaurant contained 16 gas cylinders, mainly 72kg, of which 4 were connected to serve the hot pot business. Because the gas storage room completely collapsed and the large gas cylinders were crushed underneath, continuously leaking gas, creating large flames, the Fire Police force had to work very hard to approach, spray foam, spray water to cool, move the gas cylinders from under the rubble to a safe area; at the same time, check the entire inside of the building to search for victims who may be trapped.
By around 4am the same day, the Fire Police had completely controlled the fire and moved the remaining gas cylinders to a safe area. Fortunately, the explosion occurred at midnight, and there were only two security guards sitting outside, so there were no casualties.
Traffic police, riot police and Vinh City Police were also present in time to ensure security and order and provide support outside. The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the authorities./.
