(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of Monday, March 16, US Secretary of State John Kerry had a talk with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Lausanne, Switzerland to discuss Tehran's nuclear program.

The two ministers met in Lausanne, Switzerland. The meeting was considered the last effort by both sides to discuss a historic agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.

Because by the end of this month, the P5+1 group (US, Russia, China, UK, France and Germany) and Iran both want to reach a framework agreement to aim at concluding negotiations on Iran's nuclear program in June 2015. It is known that the above negotiations have lasted from 2003 until now.

The talks also included Ernest Moniz, US Secretary of Energy, and Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization. Moniz and Salehi also held talks on Sunday on technical details of curbing Iran's nuclear program.

In exchange for the easing of Western sanctions, Iran has agreed to limit its uranium enrichment capacity - a key step in the process of building an atomic bomb - and will allow a team of inspectors to verify its compliance with its commitments, according to several sources.
